Gers a comfy chair and a fire in the stove - sounds perfect!
I'm still waiting to hear how my friend is getting on. No point walking up to the hospital if she's waiting to go home....0 -
Congratulations Granny, glad your daughter and the baby are ok, I guess it will be a few weeks before the baby is allowed home.

Very late again today, walked into town with OH and did the Friday market shop, plus library and other bits as I had a willing carrier for the heavy bags. Got a free coffee at expensive coffee shop, they have had a refit and sent some vouchers out:D OH's (very old) phone decided it is on it's last legs so we called into local phone shop and he is now kitted out with another basic clamshell phone, but with a camera. He wanted a compact phone of that type to stuff in his pocket for when he is cycling, so he is a happy chappie.
Just spoken to Ma at the home, I now have a cold and cannot visit until it clears, but she is well and all OK.
Congratulations to the new grandma, lovely name for the little one, I hope that all proceeds well for her and your DD.
taff - so sorry that you have received duff news, I hope that you get to speak with the nurse of your choice today.
Hugs to Holly and Polly, Cranky's friend and all who are poorly or caring for others.
OL I too had to grin about your DS and his love life:rotfl:
SO, are you able to get to local library and perhaps have your DOH sit and look at the papers and magazines while you have some help with spread sheets? if you have a lap top and can take it they would probably help you set up a sheet master on your own equipment, our local one is reputed to be very good at such things and it is free.
Gers new chair looks comfy, OH and I have very similar one in black, on bad sleeping nights I have often spent a few hours on mine with feet up and encompassed in my heated throw. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Ooh, wonderful news, Granny DP1, congratulations from another recent granny - a great club to be in. Great to get that reassurance from the consultant too.
Gers, your chair looks fab. Right by the warmth too, lovely. And well done nursing the fire back to life. Good to be cosy when it's so raw outside.
I've done some deep decluttering in the sitting room, got lots of old magazines and paperwork recycled.
I've coiled the micro LED lights into a glass vase and they look great, and after a cuppa I'll dust the mantelpiece where they were. It looks a bit naked, and I'll need to think what can go there that's wintery but not Christmassy.
Thanks for the update re Holly, Nelski. It's good she has ongoing support after the op. My heart goes out to her, she's had such a lot to cope with.
Tonight's meal will probably involve using up a cauliflower. Whatever I do to it will be swift and brutal, I'm not going to spend too long in the kitchen.
Have the best evening you can, dear OSers. xxx0 -
