  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Holly I hope all went well yesterday and you are soon home again.

OL, I would have put his head in the bin and asked him if fairies lived at your house because they stole half his breakfast!!:D:eek:

Taff....Poppy I hope you are both ok.

I had another reasonable night, tired when I went to bed and OH went off to sleep, he did wake me when he got up for the loo, but went off once the light was out.

No real plans for today, I have to fill in forms for blue badges, have done OH's now need to do mine. What a palaver......

OH tells me that its going to get warmer after today, it needs to, its blooming cold. The dustbin men almost caught me out this morning, one bag had gone out in the bin, but there was an almost full one still in the kitchen bin, I hopped through to the kitchen and got it out, the bin man took pity on me and came to the door to collect it.:T:T

    Good morning all,

Yesterday didn't work out quite as planned. Just as I was heading out to the doctors my friend's husband rang to say she was in hospital after 2 seizures and a bang on the head. She has brain metastases but this is the first seizure episode. It took 2 ambulance crews to deal with her....

I went for my blood test then went to have my hair cut - it's a pixie cut now so no more 30 minute fixing sessions in the morning. After that I went just up the road to my aunty's house to tell her about our friend (I'm quite close in age to my aunty so we've always spent a lot of time together). I went shopping to Asda for a few bits to take to friend in hospital then came home to sort the HT's evening meal.

My aunty called for me at 5:30pm and we went up to the hospital. My friend had another seizure while in hospital so combined with the bang on her head that she got when she first fell, they've kept her in. We stayed until 8pm then my aunty dropped me off at home. We'll be going to see her again today but don't know yet if she'll still be in hospital or if she'll be home. This is my friend who was supposed to have the HT if anything happened to me so we are very close.....

Anyhow....OL a break? I'd be packing and leaving home if I were you and won't youngest's date think it's a bit odd if he doesn't take her for a drink or something? TA enjoy your trip out. Peony you're not boring. We all bring something to this thread. That's what makes it what it is. I'm knitting hats just now. Snoozer I'm glad Laura is ok. Probably not as glad as you are though

Take care all of you :)

I'd barely got wet in the shower when the Outreach engineer rang me - I'd taken the mobile into the bathroom in case the chair courier rang. The engineer hovered outside for five mins whilst I got dried. He's now off up the track to find the fault in a join. My line is the last on the pole so there's not too much to search through.

When I got downstairs the woodburner was still glowing so I've managed to get it going again, small bonus in the day!

Breakfast....cup of tea.... reading the news now.

Ohh - delivery of chair in 20 seconds!
    :j

Chair is installed, fitted in the door fine and isn't a big as I remembered it, looks really good and very comfortable. Broadband and phone sorted too - all in all a good morning and the rest of the day ahead of me.

    Morning all
Blummin heck it's cold out, still -3 at the moment .
I'm not going out today although Mr Fix It wants to go to Wh*t!, well he can go on his own ! There's nothing that he really wants, just to look around.
I need to get into the office today to tidy up and bring out the xmas boxes ready to put the tree and decs away tomorrow. There was an almighty bang last night when we were in bed, something in there had fallen over, frightening but who got up to look ........... ME ! :rotfl:. I also need to find the calendar that I bought and transfer all the new appointments on to it. Mr Fix It puts all his on his phone/laptop but he sometimes forgets to do my appointments :(. I have already rung the dentist this morning as I've misplaced the appointment card, I knew it was next week sometime but do you think I could remember........ could I heck . Anyway it's next Friday.
Tea tonight will be leftover gammon slices and jacket potatoes, I'm also going to have corn on the cob.
    Right the kettle calls " more tea vicar ? " ..... Absolutely ! :D
    Gers has it arrived ?
    Organza Lace hugs to you.
Cranky sorry to hear about your friend. I hope she improves today.
Nelski sorry I don't have a violin. Such a sad story, wait a minute while I sob into my hanky :rotfl:. Nice to have you back my friend, you make me giggle :A
I hope that anyone who is having a day/night out enjoy themselves too.

Thinking of Holy, Poppy and taff

    Morning everyone

OL - sorry but had to laugh at your story, it's just complete confirmation that men's brains (if they have one!) are wired differently to ours! It's great though that you have a good enough relationship that he can talk to you. I have a very close relationship with my youngest son and he tells me things that I'd never have been able to discuss with my parents.

Keep safe and well and warm x

Morning all...Results are in and the upshot is another op to remove more lymph nodes. They found cancer cells in the ones they took out. I didn't take anyone with me because I didn't anticipate needing to, should have, they might have asked more sensible questions than I did. I can always ring the cancer nurse hotline [sounds cool doesn't it? hotline! woo!] and ask but I'm afraid of getting the one I don't like. Met a really nice one yesterday that I actually got on with [another Welshie] who tells it like it it, which i much prefer. Don't !!!!!foot around me, tell me, and then don't keep repeating the same thing over and over. Should be interesting anyway, because I have to have another drain, so that'll be another fight about when it comes out..At least the dressing is off and I can properly shower again, no more smelly taff :)

Today, no plans except chuck out some fridge stuff, I forgot to give the giblets and neck to the fox and they are off now [kindly provided by father] so in the bin they go. I hate chucking stuff out but due to poorliness, totally forgot to do it. Never mind, the fox can have some cheese rinds instead. Am not feeling doing things today, I am angry and upset, but also annoyed that I haven't put it behind me yet too. Stupid, but there it is.

I watched the marie kondo thing on Netflix, will see what I can put into practice this weekend. Really need to tidy the tip up, all the christmas stuff [ expecially the chocolate, I could open my own thorntons] is spread about everywhere.

SO, I did a google search for free spreadsheet budgets, found this
    https://www.vertex42.com/ExcelTemplates/personal-monthly-budget.html
I had a quick look at the MSE one but that was more or less for working out whther you're overspending rather than budgeting. The one above I think I've used before, and just changed the $ to £. I set up my own before that, if you know how to use the SUM finctions, you can add and subtract and basically set your own up how you like it. I started using YNAB instead and really liked it but now I've got nothing coming in, haven't used it for a while. I should sort that out sharpish.
OL, have you got any distant relatives who might need a visit? Tell him you're going, see them for an hour and then go for a weekend somewhere :) WeeMidgie, how do you make your cabbage? I had a really nice one in a pub, tried it, but mine came out nowhere near as nice, I should really ask them what was in it...Wotcha Poppy, hope you're doing OK Holly, [I see the liver Nelski...I have some in the freezer, may join you tomorrow :)] That's not good Cranky, I hope she's better today, enjoy the chair Gers, and kitting? carry on Peony, I can only do straight lines but I like reading about it :)

Anyway, today is the start of the weekend, I hope it bodes well for you lovely lot, deep breaths, ready...steady...go!
