I was also going to suggest buying second hand - also worth looking at local charity shops, some of which will have dedicated sections of 'occasions'.Signature removed for peace of mind0

And another 5 months pass in a blur...………………
So what's changed in 5 months....well nothing really and I am so annoyed with myself:mad:
I can't keep avoiding my debt especially now the minimum payments take up so much of my income.
I haven't been saving the money from the other job either, its been swallowed up just to cover day to day outgoings.
I have redone my budget today and all my wages are needed for bills, debt repayments and petrol. So the money from my 2nd job will be needed for food.
Not sure what will happen with annual expenses at the moment although my brother has kindly sorted out the last MOT on the truck and the car. I still owe him money from when the dog had her operation
Anyway enough of the negativity, all good journeys need to start somewhere and mine is starting today so I will post up my budget and my debts and vow not to use my credit cards or any credit unless absolutely necessary.
And for those who knew of STEXH, my Decree Nisi was in court a few weeks ago so I will be able to apply for Decree Absolute in December. Happy New Year to me!!!!!!!0 -
At least the Decree Absolute is in sight so that is good.
Sorry money so tight and hope you manage to get a workable budget together. Is the debt at 0%?

You know I feel your pain EE. But huge congratulations on getting the divorce on the go - that sounds like it's going to be an amazing Christmas present for you.
Hope you can get the finances sorted too. Is that all sorted out between the two of you - no house/pensions etc to battle over?
Are you getting maintenance for dd?Not giving up
