We had similar weather, but I was at work, so haven't looked yet. Fingers crossed! So sorry for you and your garden pablosmummy xFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0

I hope your garden has survived, seems like my children's school hasn't as it is closed tomorrow due to flood damage! Ive honestly never seen hail and rain so heavy in my life so I'm not surprisedMay Grocery Challenge -£216/4000

Oh I'm so sorry Pablosmummy. I hope you can rescue something and restore the rest. How heartbreaking0

That sounds drastic, commiserations on the garden...Hope you can salvage some things..
I put out the cypresses in the front garden [finally] and have been slowly potting on various things, and shoehorning in various plants into beds. The thinning of plants in pots outside now means I can play watering bingo much more easily.
The greenhouse is almost full thanks to a Morrisons shop for pots yesterdayNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

I have seen some ladybirds about, but honestly, not enough to deal with the infestation. Any suggestions? Would a soapy water spray really work on them?TIA x
You can blast them off with a hosepipe if you like, just gently though...Had to do it to the roses a couple of weeks ago, none have returned yet.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
So disappointing Pablosmummy, I hope some of the plants revive themselves.
My toms seem to have doubled in size in a week, amazing how they take off. One casualty didn't survive the move into final growing position, it was one of the beef tomatoes but luckily still have two that are thriving.0 -
Some plants have faired better than others. Some have a few holes in leaves, others have lots, but luckily none seem to be damaged beyond recovery and all fruit/flowers are in tact. We have been very lucky so far. Let's see what tomorrow brings though as we have a weather warning for rain.
It's been relatively dry for weeks. Now it's all coming at once!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Really sorry to hear about your garden pablosmummy. Its heartbreaking when you put so much effort into something and there is nothing you can do.
I just checked the forecast and we have heavy rains coming tomorrow. I expect some casualties.
I picked my first cucumber today!! It was lush. A bit small but I couldn't resist. Also courgettes are coming thick and fast. I took delivery of my dehydrator but not unpacked it yet.
I am jealous of those who are already picking strawberries. Mine are getting a good size but still green.0 -
I am so sorry Pablosmummy - how dispiriting for you. If you are near Suffolk I will happily gift you some tomatoes. We had a similar thing with rabbit damage last year - a collection of minute stumps the day after planting out the sweetcorn, courgettes, cucumbers and squashes and we don't talk about the onions, garlic and beans. Heartbreaking for you after all that work. The perennials should bounce back next year and there are still seedlings and plants at the roadside and in GCs at the moment if you can face it.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Heart goes out to you Pablosmummy
Mother nature can be so destructive.
So disheartening to start again but on the positive side, there is still time to get a few things back growing again. I would concentrate on a few things that are most important to you and buy plants from roadside/ carboots etc.
Good luck. Think we are getting the heavy rains later this afternoon in Lincs so may go and pick all the ripe strawberries or they will go to mush.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600
