It was a palaver most annoying thing was dd was pretty well prepared and just wanting the assessment over after a long wait since the form was sent back in January She even managed to cope with very short notice.
She always needs to know when things are happening so her trust in the process has taken a knock now and the next few weeks will be trying to rebuild that trust somehow.
I'm sorry you weren't up to the lake earlier . Hopefully dgd will enjoy her time out.
It has been both sunny and blowy here today so perfect washing weather . I think we've both had one of those viruses dd is a magnet for .Sometimes I don't catch it but this time I have and it included some sort of kidney infection along with the coughs , sneezes and high temperature .
Finally managed to eat some soup earlier so hopefully on the mend and can probably tackle the washing tomorrow.
Glad your machine has arrived although later than expected .Wishing you good drying weather and will be sending positive vibes for tomorrow.

You could not make it up
Beanie after decades of campaigning and supporting others in various ways " You couldn't make it up" has long been part of my vocabulary.
I was polite but firm with the young girl on the desk as she was quite upset to be the one left to break the news.
When I listened to the message they'd left on the landline they just said to ring them , not why, just ring us. Nor much use when you're over an hour into the journey and at the entrance in full view of cctv.
I did check for any earlier messages or calls but there weren't any.
At least she listened and looked for another appt slot so dd would at least know when they will see her next (hopefully)
Hope you and our friends have a peaceful night.

I still shudder to think of my last ESA assessment.
I just could not believe the lies & contridictions.

I can't sleep. Still awake and I have that appointment tomorrow.
Hope you are doing better soon Pollyanna xWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
mooloo, i can't sleep either.
we will count sheep together.0 -
I am awake. My eyes are sore they are that tired. I am drinking my tea in bed, thanks to my teasmade. That was the best gift the bf ever gave me.
There is no sound from anyone in the house yet. Although it did take a while for the baby to sleep last night, and he briefly woke around 11.30.
I am savouring the sounds of the birds and can tell through my curtains that it is a good start to the day.
DS's Ex was bombarding him with messages, he had to block her again, so then she got her friends to message, he blocked them, and then she found a way to text him via a website, so he had to block that.
He was in tears when he was on the phone to his sister.
The meeting this afternoon is not going to be a pretty one.
I have told DS that it is time for legal action to get that non molestation order out, and to today bring up the fact that while he is trying to feed, play, etc with the kids she is constantly demanding attention on the phone, and actually when she has them she's still demanding help etc. Or attention.
He is not going to get a decent job if he is for ever having to change his plans to accommodate her needs.
The social need to support changes in the days etc of care and reconsider the approach to the children's care.
If by any miracle they will listen, as they still have not replaced the worker despite the letter last week informing me they would.
I can hear the baby gabbling now.
The peace is broken and the day has begun.
I rarely wish for time to fly, it usually goes to fast, but I certainly wish today was over and done with! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo, I'm not surprised you couldn't sleep, you must have so much going through your mind at the moment! I hope that today's meeting goes well, that everyone turns up as they should and that any decisions made are in the best interests of the children. That last bit should go without saying but, sadly, there are often people with loud voices and other agendas
I'm glad you got to see the GP, and that she was supportive. She is right - you are a strong lady, but you are not superwoman and you need a bit of help at the moment (((Hugs)))
Pollyanna, I would love to say that your treatment is 'unbelievable' but I have been around disability and benefits for long enough to know that this kind of thing happens all too often  I hope that you are both feeling better today. It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
'Wonder' - to feel curious.0 -
Thinking about you Mooloo, and hoping that the meeting can resolve at least some of the problems.
It sometimes seems to me that the 'powers that be' are blind and deaf to common sense  Maybe they're waiting for you and DS to have nervous breakdowns before they open their eyes to what's happening!.... We can but hope that things improve very quickly. (((hugs)))
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy0
