  • Hi
Sorry again for not being around. Thanks for the birthday wishes last week.

We went to see Mary Poppins Returns, my daughter who is 5 loved it, she was bopping along to the songs on the edge of her seat which made me enjoy it even more.

This last Sunday was a trip to Ikea for a £6 table and ended up spending closer to £70 and had the meatballs with mash, gravy and half a piece of cake so a complete blow out. Hey ho no more money for food so hopefully will be able to loose a bit more this month 😂

It was 2.5lbs loss for me on Saturday but haven't had a chance to post until now.

I haven't figured out the quotey thing yet but...

Shopping wise I do Lidl as mainly cook from scratch so it's nice and cheap. Their big pots of Greek yoghurt are good too. I don't do ff as I'd rather syn it. I use lots of their tinned mackerel in salads, rice and pasta too instead of chicken for really cheap meals.

Thanks for the chart Chris. Off to catch up on some more of the board

Hope you feel better soon Maman and good loss Haylaluru.

Weigh in day for me. Not hopeful as PMT bloating has arrived along with the always feeling hungry that goes with it, but need to go and need to weigh in.

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - yogurt and fruit
    Lunch - LO chili
    Dinner - noodles and veg
Snacks - SF jelly and fruit

    HAs - milk and cheese
    HB - Sesame seeds
    Syns - jelly 0.5, noodle sauce 1
    Zebras rock

    Morning!

Congrats Bozwood and Curlgirl on SOTW :T:T

    Well done losers g2dtn, v1ckyt, TheTalking + wife, & Haylaluru :j:T

Hope you're feeling much better soon Maman

Got on the scales first thing feeling a tad nervous after eating out at the weekend and was glad to see a -3.5lb loss. Hopefully plan and routine is really coming together.

Menu yesterday ended up like this:
    B - apricot & apple
L - porridge HEB, sugar (2) milk from HEA
snack - 0% yogurt with mixed berries
    D - chicken chow mein (4.5)

    Today's menu is like this:
    B - banana, satsuma
L - porridge HEB, sugar (2) milk from HEA
snack - 0% yogurt with mixed berries & frozen mango
D - cottage pie, cabbage, carrots, broccolli (3 for gravy)

I've got an apple in my desk if I need an extra snack. Trying really hard not to allow myself rubbish as snacks.

Watched that programme on TV last night 'How to Lose Weight Well' and a bit surprised that they've included some slightly 'faddy' diets. I did think that if they'd taken a SW approach they might have had better results, but perhaps I'm just biased?

Well done sary and haylaluru. Great losses!:T:T

Thanks for all your good wishes. It's only a heavy cold (I hope) but as I can't taste food (or drink:cry:) I seem to be going on about it a lot!:D

I didn't watch it last night but if it's the one I'm thinking of they try all sorts of different diets to compare them. Most work to an extent for the short term purposes of the show. I know we're biased but SW offers a healthy, balanced long term alternative which the faddy things don't.

Thanks for that. I'll get some for the freezer. I tend to use them to make stuffing balls when we have roast chicken.:)

The simplest way is to click on the 'speech bubble' at the bottom of the post you want then press the Quote button next to it. You can do that for up to three posts at a time. Then the full posts that you've quoted will appear in the 'Reply to Thread' window and you can cut and paste them if you only want to quote some of it. Be careful when cutting not to delete anything inside the square brackets at the start and end of the post. HTH:)

Still plodding on, hardly able to taste much at all.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, fried eggs, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions and beetroot
D: savoury mince, new potatoes, celeriac mash, carrots, kale, cauli and broccoli
    Syns: Lemsip??;)
