Apparently the Met Office has issued warnings that the Beast From the East 2 is on its way......
When I moved house I ran down my Armageddon cupboard and what with going on holiday I never got round to restocking. So that's what I have been doing. Let Mother Nature do her worst I'm ready......
Anyway good morning lovely ladies. And hello to all our newcomers. :hello:
We don't officially launch until New Years Day so I'm giving you all plenty of leeway to enjoy the rest of the seasons festivities...... but then we start in earnest. However, in the meantime it's nice to hear how you are all making plans and getting your head round it all.
It's easy, I promise. And hopefully the newbies will soon get to see that Fabbing isn't just another chore, it can actually be fun. And I swear it's life enhancing. The ripple effect spreads out into your whole life. You might think I'm exaggerating but I swear I'm not. Give it your all and you will soon see your lives change.
SFT.....loving the anchor analogy, especially given my penchant for sea voyages. :rotfl:
Humpty.....hope you are feeling a little less frazzled today. And good to see you intend to start treating yourself a bit in the New Year. A little bit of TLC goes a long way. I'm sure you'll feel better after a few days rest. The massage and the facial sound like bliss.
I tend to do my own facials of course but very occasionally I do have one in a salon.....usually when I've earned a loyalty bonus.
Interesting about the eyelashes and eyebrow discussions......I have very poor straggly eyebrows due to thyroid issues and my eyelashes are really quite sparse. Throw in thin wispy baby fine hair for luck and you'll see no one could accuse me of being hirsute,:rotfl: anyway I was thinking I might try eyelash extensions again. I used to get them done for free when I was doing my training. Made a big difference.
:rotfl: the older I get the more high maintenance I seem to become. Lol.
Have you found your words yet;). I'll reveal mine on New Years Day.0 -
'LL are your eyebrows equally sparse? One of mine is a lot worse than the other, due to low thyroid
I don't have an Armageddon cupboard either :rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Hi everyone, I would love to join in for 2019, for a lot of this year I read along, but rarely posted, did try to keep up with the fabbing the majority of the time though.
I now have very fair brows and lashes, brows are quite sparse, although they have never been abundant, the plus side that I was never tempted to pluck them drastically like many of my darker and more hirsute friend:D I am happy to be seen without make up, lucky to have good skin, but always pencil in my brows, add a touch of mascara and if I am leaving the house always add eye liner, being a specs wearer this stops me disappearing into the background.
I know that it is a big thing with LL, and I too am very conscious of my posture, I use a special back chair at home and in the car and when waiting about anywhere seated I make sure that I am sitting up, using my muscles and not the seat backrest. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. i was able to borrow the flanders panel by Arturo Perez-Reverte. i am re-reading it. it is easier to search for a given author.0 -
Back to work for me tomorrow. Shudder at the thought of it.
With me think it’s easier if I set myself small daily goals for fabbing or else I’ll get overwhelmed and just lie about.
So today’s goals are change my bedding, that will instantly make me feel more fab! Have a bath, origins face mask and exfoliate.0 -
Hello Ladies,
My word for 2019 is Joy0 -
I'm in, Have to continue to try to take better care of myself.
Need to get back into the habit of regular facemasks. It definitely makes a difference, as does eating fruit and veg and not all the sweeties!
For eczema I have found hemp hand/body cream from the body shop like magic dust. Also waitrose baby bottom butter, sounds weird but is great stuff.
Other top top is tinted lip balms, burts bees do great ones.
My goal is to actually go to the gym, rather than letting anxiety overrun me and chicken out.0 -

I’m a bit like that. I used to go all th time. Life happened and it got ignored. Just joined a new one and hoping to get into it before the end of the week if I can face my fear0 -
littlegreen that waitrose baby bottom is marvellous isn't it. I have a GC with very sensitive skin and seemed to have a permanently sore bum but waitrose baby bottom butter works like magic. We always have some in the cupboard now and it does do wonders for sore hands.0
