I had such a good time last night.

I had to go to get more herbs from the Chinese place today and I bought some animal print flats and some of the facial peel range from Superdrug.

I got the overnight peel and the peel pads. I want to see if I can see any difference between that and the expensive one I bought.

I looked in the £1 shop and found a handbag and a black dress and a black skirt.

    It is so warm today!

After reading about it on this thread, I went for a massage at our local college yesterday - it was fabulous. An hour and a quarter full body aromatherapy massage for £14! I'm going back next week for a £10 facial, this is definitely going to be part of my fabbing routine going forward.
  • My new skincare routine does seem to be working, my jawline has not had any flare up of spots and my face does not seem to be getting as shiny during the day which is impressive considering it's warming up now

Doing a few hours at work then going home to pass on the Easter Bunny's gifts to OH's kids, then once they have gone home we are going to enjoy a few Bank Hol beverages :D

Face mask, hair mask and pedicure are all on the cards for this weekend :)

6 days until my hair appointment :D

Oh - and officially 2 lbs away from having lost a stone, not bad going for 2 months!

The peel pads from Superdrug were very good,:) I was surprised! Very budget friendly and they were buy one and get another one half price.

I'm about to do some arm exercises with my weights as the weather has drastically changed and I want my arms to look better if I'm going to be wearing sleeveless tops!:D

 Hello everyone. back from my trip and just having a catch up.:)

Your birthday celebrations sound really great sugarbaby and congratulations on getting the PIP award at last. I hope you're enjoying your Easter break with your family and you too humpty and anyone else who's away.:)

The black tie evening last Sunday was a great success. The event was for all ages and some of the (other) older ladies did look a bit frumpy in some of their more formal evening wear. The jumpsuit seemed to be suitable for any age so I was pleased with my choice.:)

The rest of the week, while I've been away, has been smart casual. I did take a couple of more dressy things for eating out in the evenings but mostly tops (chiffon blouse, lace top) that I could dress down with smart jeans. I also took my Zara maxi dress and had yet another compliment, this time from staff in a restaurant. I'm so pleased with that dress, it feels good whenever I wear it.

So it's not just me that doesn't like tights.;) I wear leggings a lot under skirts and dresses too.

Well done those of you gradually losing the pounds.:T It's a good feeling.

We got back lateish last night so today I've done a big shop in Aldi including masses of vegetables especially as they're Super 6 was such great value this week. DH is working tomorrow but teatime we're off to watch football in the pub and I'm planning a lovely dinner for Sunday. I ate loads of things I wouldn't usually have while I was away (mainly bread and crisps) so need to get seriously back to healthy eating next week.;)

It's a gorgeous day here. I do hope you're all having a great time whatever you're up to.:)
  • The salon called yesterday and basically said they can no longer do the colour service I had booked, the manager has said that they can't do the base colour of darker blonde as it won't take. I literally welled up with anger that I was so excited for it and they changed their mind.

So, being me, I went to the shop this morning and bought a dark blonde dye and put it on, it lifted my roots with no brassiness and darkened the rest of my hair which is all I needed it to do. I will now just find somewhere to give it the cut it needs and colour my roots for a few months until the hair is healthier and a darker base tone so that a hairdresser can then give me the result I am after.

Annoying, but money saving for this month, I guess.

ssdd23 how annoying about your hairdressers. I love that you managed to do it yourself!

Maman welcome back from your trip.

Wednesday I used to use Superdrug skincare and thought it was great value as there is always an offer round for corner.

I was looking at myself critically in the full length mirror and my arms really need toning up. My lower legs are fairly slim so I have been having bare legs and sandals with my knee length dresses in this warmer weather.:)

I have exercised at home on my trampoline and then done arm exercises for three days in a row now. I hope to keep that up so it becomes a daily habit.

I tried on the two new maxi dresses I bought from George and they make me look "matronly" they can be donated to a charity shop along with a shirt that does me no favours either.:rotfl:

Yes, at least you saved money.

They are very good for the price.

I'm not keen on their hair care range, I've never found one that suits my hair. I use Garnier now and really like that brand.

    Good Morning Lovely Ladies.

Well what a glorious weekend. hope you all had a lovely time whatever you did.

I went to Chatsworth on Saturday. I normally go every Christmas so it made a lovely change to be able to stroll around the gardens and enjoy the warm sunshine.

I've had a truly lovely weekend, spending time with my family, making merry and just generally making the most of the weather. I didn't do too much damage to my weight loss. Now back on track and ready to smash the next stone.

Tried to buy some shoes in Debenhams the other day. I need a wider fitting shoe. Couldn't see any and thought maybe I had just overlooked them so asked one of the salesgirls. She told me that they didn't stock any, you had to get them online. And they wonder why they are struggling.........

Good to see you back Maman, glad you had a good time.

Interested to hear that you felt good in your jump suit for the formal event. It's lovely when you have a favourite go to outfit like that. I have one too and I wore it for a formal night on my last cruise and I too felt it hit the right note.

You're right, formal wear can be frumpy, especially when people overdo the sequins:rotfl: I noticed some ladies were wearing black trousers or skirts with glittery tops to try and look less "done up" but it didn't really hit the spot, not really dressy enough for a Captains Dinner or a black tie event. But I think a nice jump suit can work well, it can be more youthful looking than an elaborate sequinned gown.

I have to admit, that quite apart from all the health benefits of my weight loss, I am really loving being able to experiment with my clothes again. I have dropped a good dress size already and am now wearing some of my nice things that have been languishing in my wardrobe for several years. It's a great feeling.

    Onwards and downwards......:D
