I have known quite a few women who have had breast implants. I used to have a job where I worked with sex workers and quite a few of them had implants. I guess as they could make more money with them!
I have seen that there is a Korean 10 step beauty regime for women. I've seen the videos come up on YouTube. I've never actually watched one to see what it entails.
Well from the programme it seemed that they really judge on appearance and if you haven't got the right "look" it would affect career prospects. They showed a Korean woman with similar sort of scarring and she had had a terrible time with not only her being bullied but her children being bullied about her. There was also the eye thing, wanting a more wide open eye, I suppose more European? When you saw the young women who had already had surgery there was definitely a "look" that they were going for and to be fair they did look lovely but it just seems a shame that they felt so insecure about how they looked.
I did check out the link on Annie Price and she has had her baby now, a lovely little boy and she is engaged. I think she is going back to Korea as a surgeon there said he could help with her hands. I hope it goes well for her.0 -
Good morning lovely ladies.....good job I didn't paint my nails last night.
This morning I attacked that carpet like a whirlwind. It's up and in the car ready for a tip run tomorrow. Ooh I do feel smug. I have been putting it off for days but now it's finally gone.
Going to have some brunch and then a well earned soak in a bubble filled bath. Off out later.
Have you seen the weather forecast for next week......wahoo. 18 degrees :j.
Have a great day y'all.0 -
Garden tidying almost finished, nails a state! Wind really got up here this afternoon0

I've decided on my jumpsuit for later after all. What decided me is that I've come to really hate thin tights (can cope with opaques) as they feel so prickly and uncomfortable. I won't have to wear them under my jumpsuit. Although my legs are a good colour, I don't think bare legs with a shortish skirt is right until it gets considerably warmer.
I may not have time to post over the next few days so hope you all have a good week. Happy Birthday for tomorrow sugarbaby.:)0 -
Have a lovely time away maman
I died my hair today. It stung my scalp a little so I may have to change hair dyes..
Hair cut booked for Friday and it's in need of a good tidy. It seems to look fine and then all of a sudden..!!!!!!...it's like a messy, flat, hay stack.
I think I need some hair treatments and also hair serum, but it may need to wait til next month.0 -
I'm wearing my long black dress with my green batwing jumper today. I really like the colour of the jumper - forest green.
One thing I'm a little concerned about is that it's been 8 days since I started the thyroid tablets and I was supposed to get my period last Wednesday and haven't got it yet. I looked online and it said that could be one of the side effects of taking the hormone.
I know I don't have menopause yet as I asked them to test me a year or two ago. I will have to ask my GP about it next month.
Not that I mind not having periods. I would be quite delighted if it was permanent.:rotfl:humptydumptybits wrote: »

She seems a very strong woman.
I think I need some hair treatments and also hair serum, but it may need to wait til next month.
I have decided to use my intensive hair treatment in place of my normal conditioner as it's much better. I wash my hair every other day and I noticed how much softer it looks when I use the treatment.:)
I use the coconut Garnier hair serum from Superdrug. I think it's very good.0 -

Have a great time Maman.
In Summer I only wear midi or maxi skirts these days:( I don't like "ordinary" tights either. My legs and ankles are slim so I can get away with quite short skirts and opaques in the Winter, but my 70 year old legs are better off not on show and am far too lazy to use fake tan, this is one area where I have given way to frump, lots of broken veins:eek:
LL - great work on the carpet removal, well done.
Frankie - what about (if you have time) damping your hair 30 mins/ 1 hour before shampooing and working in a generous amount of conditioner to the mid and longer lengths? The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
After a decidedly blah day with rain and wind reducing my desire to escape into fresh air. I tidied the house and laundry. So much laundry but it was great to get it all done. I have a upper respiratory infection so it was good to just relax and let the antibiotics do their work.
I have been reading along and hope everyone is fabbing well. I am registering with a health coach and going to book into the gym. I need to become more active as my weight has been increasing over the last few years. I need to be pro-active. My fabbing has been superficial and I need a big kick in the behind and get moving. It will increase my endorphins and hopefully meet new people.
I need to expand my horizons- I guess that I realized my goals were good to achieve but the wrong ones. I have been reading a lot about possessions holding you back and focusing on experiences; moving beyond existing and being proactive. Opportunity will not merely occur, I need to go beyond my comfort zone. Happiness and being fulfilled are choices one has to actively chase.
My goals going forwad need to be SMART
--> get to 80 kg and 75 kg then 70 kg and then 65 kg. I have 18 kg to loose so ideally it needs to be done slowly and permanently.
--> I need to increase the amount of vegetables- to reduce the proportion of pasta or bread
--> getting a regular amount of exercise weekly
--> get a new hobby.
I don't believe in new year resolutions but need to be making better choices daily. I was happier when i was more active, I need to up my fabbing to more internal.0 -
Good morning lovely ladies..
I'm awake bright and early this morning, I'll probably need a nap later. :rotfl:
First things first.......Happy Birthday SUgarbaby. :bdaycake: have a lovely day.
Maman. Enjoy your trip, hope you get good weather.
SFT. Well done on thinking about the changes you want to make, you can do it......
I think many of us get so subsumed in the day to day, running around like mad things and caring for the world and his dog that sometimes we lose ourselves along the way. And that's when Frumpdom can creep up on us.......
Sometimes we do need to take a step back and say "what about me".. And yes, that might mean stepping out of our comfort zone. We all need to shake things up a bit sometimes.
Busy day today, but feeling happy and positive. WW tonight.0
