Hi folks. Happy Friday. I’m plodding along with my debt and overpaying nicely. I do it in a direct debit mostly though so no other big overpayments to report. I have however started doing the save the change thing in my bank account and so far have paid off £15.07 from CC that I wouldn’t have otherwise done.I’ve won £30 on lottery today as well so that’ll go as an overpayment as well.
I cannot wait until the day when all these wee bits and pieces of cash can be mine to spend 😊.Have a great weekend ❤️5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.003 -
Congrats on the lottery win. I love my save the change account, it soon adds up!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Jwil I love it too.
I got another 0% balance transfer today. I am absolutely delighted. That's at least 3/4 of my CC debt on 0%. I have been here before and screwed it up but I am way older and wiser and I doubt that this will happen to me again. I am hoping to partially retire in 4 years when I am 60 so I want my CC's paid in 2 years and mortgage by June 2025 so I do not need to use any of pension money payout for debts or to pay off mortgage. I feel very excited about it all :-)5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi guys. I am so chuffed as I have managed to get all of my CC debt on to 0%. This will save me about £250 per month in interest. Everything all fell in to place in last couple weeks and I managed to sort it out. I am buzzing. So I have 26 months to reach my target of June 2023 to have CC debt away. That's £550 ish per month and that should be doable for me as I have paid off my tax bill which has now released £80 per month and next month I get another wage rise which will be about another £100 a month. I was paying out £430 anyway so the wage rise and tax money make it all okay. So exciting.
After 10 years or so struggling with debt going up and down dependant on the emergencies I came up against in my life, I can now actually see a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm just crossing my fingers that I manage to get it all done.
Lovely man and I spent the weekend in Glasgow. Had a nice wee hotel room and went out for a meal. It was so good we are going back this weekend to do it all again as he starts working weekends after that for about 6 weeks so we will not be able to go anywhere. That's our excuse anyway :-)
I really hope you are all well and coping financially / Big hugs xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

It’ll make a massive difference. At least now when I make a payment the total will go down. I’m excited about it. Back to the grind today. Still working from hone and reckon that’ll be the case for at least a few more weeks. I’m due to get my second jag at end of month so to be fair I don’t really want to go on a busy train before then. Just been doing my spreadsheets. I have set up direct debits for the balance transfers to make sure they are paid off beofre the 0% ends. Over £600 per month in payments but by May 2023 I'll have no CC debt. Say prayers that I manage to keep it up. I've done my sums though and it's looking okay. Even if I go back to the office my fares will be so much less as we have already been told that we will only be in a couple days a week and working at home for the rest of the time :-). I need to keep positive about all this as that amount per month is a bit overwhelming. I'll try my best not to even think about it and just see how I get on.
