Anyone know how to move Whatsapp from Ios to Android?
Afternoon all,
My wife has a new Android handset and we're trying to move her Whatsapp data from her old iPhone.
The info says to 'Navigate to "Settings" > "Chats" > "Chat Backup" and then Tap the "Back Up Now"....
Problem is, Back up now is grayed out???
Can someone tell me what I'm missing here?
Thanks

It backs up to a microSD card - does the phone have one installed?0

Sorry, I've not done it on a iPhone, but google suggests it goes to iCloud storage, perhaps its not configured? That might not help you get it to android anyway.0

Is it in app permissions ?
From memory app permission is under security ?
May not be allowing full access to storageEx forum ambassador

Set up a Google account if you don't have one, you will need it anyway for an Android phone. Then backup your WhatsApp to Google Drive. Sorry I don't know details how, I've never used an iPhone.
After installing WhatsApp on the Android you sign in by entering the phone number your WhatsApp account is registered to. You need to receive a code on that phone number to set up and recover your account, so change the registered number beforehand if necessary.Evolution, not revolution0 -

The iPhone doesn't have the right version of ios to allow Google drive to install!
Last time we updated the ios it wiped the phone and, despite itunes saying it had back up everything it had in fact backup nothing!0 -

Unless it’s extremely well hidden there is no option to back up to Google Drive.====0
