I am just carrying out some research to see how many on here have been refused

You're never going to know because it's not public information. Anything you find on here will be anecdotal and utterly useless.

I doubt that people could say they've been 'refused a Chargeback' as such. RBS or NatWest may have refused to handle disputed transactions for some reason or other but that is different. What you are asking requires customers to know the Chargeback rules.

In that case, get the legalities sorted and then come back to the forum - but you'll still get the same answers.

Chargebacks are all different depending on the circumstances. If you're unhappy go to the FOS. A bank will only refuse to do a chargeback if they feel there is no chargeback right that covers the scenario. They don't "refuse" them for any other reasons, despite what you may think.
