I have:
- sorted through my linen cupboard and made a bag of old towels and pillows which I will drop off at a vet hospital in town
- sorted through my odd sock collection, whatever didn't match up this time has been binned
- thrown a couple of pair of leggings with holes in them, a vest top and pair of PJ bottoms that were either holy, bleached or too small (or any combination of these)
- started a charity shop bag, so far as a couple of pillow cases in but sure I will find much more over the next few days
- put up some pictures and. wall hangings that have been cluttering my wardrobe for ages
- listed an item on facebook marketplace
Hope you are all having a great Sunday0 -

Small steps again this week, think my wife is now getting used to me trying to either sell stuff on FB or visit charity shops or the tip. The backyard is now cleaner, paid for someone to clear the yard of the leftover wood from when I knocked it down last November! On the attic front, I took to the tip today a rocking chair which had broken along with a box of clothes which my daughter has outgrown along with a iron that had blown a fuse. Still need to sort out the cuddly toys. Keep chipping away at it. Had a read of the posts on this thread, they are inspiring and they do help. If I can do a little bit of decluttering, even if it's only once a week, then it all helps I suppose ☺️0

Well done everyone, love reading all the successes.
I've not been doing much that is reportable but........ I've written into each day of my diary: fitness, t/a and achieved. I go a week or so ahead (not all 365 days yet!!!l) so that each day when I look at 'today' it reminds me. I dont think I've ever kept NY resolutions so long as they're usually forgotten by about the 8th. T/a means 'thrown away' and encompasses things to the cs, rubbish out as well as stuff thats not in the right place now put away. 'Fitness' has 'walk', 'HR up' (stands for heart rate up), 'bounce', 'vitamins'. This reminds me to take my vit c tablet and my heart healthy vit tablet, to do something each day that gets my heart rate up ie fast walk, dance to something on the radio or a bit of high stepping arm swinging about the room for half an hour when I'm watching something on tv, and 'bounce' is after reading that as we get older and dont do as much bones dont get such a good workout and the risk of falling goes up. Just by regularly bouncing/jumping maybe 10 or 12 times on the spot a day you can apparently keep your bone density healthier as well as your Achilles tendons. Loss of these increases the risk of falling and being classed as frail. I'm trying to get this ingrained into my subconscious habits so I carry it on into later life. In fact, I think I will add balance to this too - standing on one leg etc. Then I should remember to do that each day too.
This is all snippets gained from magazines, TV programmes etc that I think oh I must do that each day, then instantly forget. I'm not saying I have done each of it every single day since Jan 1st but I dont bother if I miss a bit one day, cos I know tomorrow I will have the same reminders and I will do more good things. I feel I am making lots of little progress and it no longer seems a giant fail if something is missed one day. So although there has nit been something noted in the t/a line each day, thats ok, i can look back over the 3 weeks and see that progress has been made.
I think I'm trying to say decluttering, sparking joy, tidying up - it all frees up mental space to begin to concentrate on me and how I'm going into to the future.
Keep going guys

Hi Guys,
Spent the last couple of days chipping away at emptying the garage, its been really good, its made me decided where to keep things im not throwing out, got two binliners each half full of either clothes and shoes, the other has heavy old curtains that were at the windows here when i moved in 18 months ago, so theyre for the cash for clothes shop next time im passing, but hopfully will have some more stuff in them by then. Taken another load of things to the chazza, mostly things i had been car booting, but i didnt do a single car boot last year and need stuff gone for the building work and asbestos removal next month, so time to be a bit more ruthless.
So, had a day off today and met up with a couple of friends for a catch up, which usually ends up being a wander round the shops followed by a late lunch. So proud of myself, didnt buy anything unnecessary at all, just a birthday card for ds birthday on Tuesday and lunch. Also got rid of a lovely white crisp cotton old sheet to one of my friends who does a lot of craft sewing and uses it for backing material on projects, so thats another thing gone! So, no new crap coming in to the house
and yes... its making me feel so much better and giving me the incentive to carry on.
Thanks everyone, it really does help keeping each other going!!"It is not uncommon for slight acquaintances to get married, but a couple really have to know each other to get divorced." - Anonymous0 -

I pull the duvet down when I get out of bed. I then go and have a cup of coffee and then go into my bedroom for clean clothes to wear after my shower. I make the bed when I'm collecting them.
Sorry MrsSD but I have to air the bed. I do agree, making the bed makes a HUGE difference to any bedroom and would hate to go into my room and see the bed unmade. It's like opening the window, something that just has to be done.Feb 2019 GC £151.53/£300God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, wisdom to know the difference.0
