Well this week I managed to clear through the underwear drawer - chucked a load of odd socks, old undies which were past their prime! and some bras which I don't even fit anymore!
First I went to get a bra fitting at M&S (its free) and I was surprised I have changed size!
So maybe re-check your bra size and you will probably have more to clear out!Frugal Living Challenge 2017: Living on £5,000 a year

I took another bag of books to the charity shop today. Still ploughing ahead! I'll do an artwork declutter into the recycling bin before I go and pick up the 6 year old from school. We get some new stuff pretty much every day so I need to keep on top of it.
Happy decluttering everyone!0 -
Decluttered the rubbish from the kitchen bin into the wheelie bin and the recycling box into the recycling bin.
Really getting impatient to start properly. 12 more sleeps and I will be raring to go. Thankfully, I will be able to move things around a little bit as I now have a sun room so I am going to have all the furniture/appliances I need but spread out a little bit more. This is going to make cleaning easier BUT it means I will have little nooks to hide 'stuff' so am going to have to be strict with myself. Once my new wardrobe arrives, that is going to give me so much needed storage as I've chosen the biggest one I could find that will fit. As much as I adore this bungalow, the lack of storage is making life difficult. There are things I need to keep that I struggled to store, this should be solved.

Small steps today. I have decluttered the living room, pulled out the furniture and picked up all the stuff DS seems to have stuffed under there and given the room a good vacuum ready for carpet cleaning tomorrow. :j I feel much calmer now as it was driving me mad. I've even popped the rug in the washer.
I'm going to try to wipe the skirting before collecting DS soon. If I could splash on some paint next week all would be good. I will have to see how I feel.
All the washing is done and just drying before being put away.:j I may strip the beds tomorrow and get them done in advance.

Today's declutter was
An old shower curtain to the recycling
Two old mattress protectors to the recycling
I bag of DDs clothes to the charity shop
I'm steadily clearing my spare room,I want to keep it as a bedroom but I'm going to put DGS travel cot in there for when I look after him on a Tuesday,at the moment I put it up in my room so I have to take it down again every time I use it,my DD is also expecting her second baby now so once DGS has grown out of it the baby will be using it
I'm keeping the bed that in there as I would like to put it back once the grandchildren don't need to cot anymore,I'm going to dismantle it and put it in the loft temporarily, this room as only a box room so there isn't a lot of space, once my younger DD moves out her bigger room will be empty,I might let that one out when I retire or use that for the grandchildren and turn the box room into a craft room
I'm just having a coffee then I'm off upstairs to see what else I can get rid of,there is a charity shop at the hospital I work at so I could take some more there when I go to workOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -
17. Decluttered and retided the cupboard under the stairs. A small carrier bag full of bits and bobs into the bin. Cleaning cloths, floor mop clothes etc have all gone into the washing machine.
Have also complete a few odd jobs - glued back together a drawer - oak sideboard that I have had for 18 years; changed batteries in scales and cleaned 1/2 windows and mirrors in the house. (Will do the others over the weekend).2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Decluttered
Some old wallpaper I was saving for god knows what
Lots of old computer leads for a pc I no longer own
Old crumpled wrapping paper x about 4 rolls
Cushion filling I was saving for craft project that I never used
All this has gone in the recycling
I found a toy that's no good for my DGS
A jewellery box
Some garden lights I don't want
A money box and various other small items
All put in a bag to take to the charity shop tomorrow
The underbed drawer that was in that room is now empty and has been cleaned and relocated to go under my bed,it was from there originally but I put it in the spare room when I decorated my room,it needs painting white to match my bed but I will do that in the summer,I have put my things under there that I can't get rid of like my file of important papers and my Journals that I write
So all in all a good day:jOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -

I sorted through most of the cat toys today - at least all the ones that were put away and aren't stuck under the sofa. :rotfl: Lots in a bag to go to charity, but I also threw some away that were a bit tatty. We're still keeping a lot, so maybe I should confess to having acquired too many.0
