Ah it s been a while my dears, soooo many posts to catch up on!
I’ve hit my target now and can’t find my last post to find what number I was up too.
Lots of decluttering done, three trips to the charity shop. But life and puppy have gotten in the way for recording it all.
I promise to try to do better from now on.“Isn't this enough? Just this world? Just this beautiful, complex
Wonderfully unfathomable, natural world” Tim Minchin0 -
I'm back: it's been about ten days since I posted and I think if I haven't reached my target, I'm very close. I'm not intending to stop though.
Most of this latest lot of decluttering was done in a couple of days in the ongoing clearing of Mum's house. I was feeling a bit under the weather as I was short of sleep, so I mostly went through old papers. I found some treasure including my Grandma's letters to Dad during the war, which I've brought home for safekeeping. I also found a lot of bits to throw out: 'paper decisions' can take as much energy as bigger things but there are a lot of them in the recycling now.
There are also some oddments decluttered from home but I'll lump them all in together:
Candle lamp to charity, glass lid broken and binned, dock plant that was growing in a gutter, 2 dud pens, 1/2 jar of coffee that had gone disgusting, blunt scissors in metal recycling, 2 hardened paintbrushes, 2 fish-related items given to a friend who likes fish, 2 magazines, 7 plastic bags, 5 booklets and 117 pieces of paper.
Total 142.
Previous total 1899/2019
New total 2,041! Made it! :j:j:j
Could I possibly make it 2,500 by the end of the year?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I have sold 5 items in Ebay though so not too bad, they're getting posted tomorrow.
Weather has turned very cold here so summer duvets have been removed and winter duvets put on.
My target during my holiday is to tidy up and declutter the attic again, as we've just been putting stuff up there until later and later never arrives lol.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -
