Monday was a gloriously sunny day :D I had a lovely bath 🛁 then DH & I went off to meet his niece at Cutty Sark DLR station. She treated us to lunch at Z*z**s - a long lazy lunch in the blazing sunshine :T We also received some presents - several postcards & 3 fridge magnets from her break in the Alsace region of France - brought back happy memories of a holiday we had there a few years ago :D DSis went into Lewisham & did some shopping but way too hot for her - so not happy :( A very light dinner - lettuce & a solitary spring onion from our garden mixed in with shop bought lettuce, rocket, radishes, green pepper & spring onions with a slice of ham for DSis & slices of Cumberland sausage for DH & I. DSis was starving - so good job she had a bread roll & packets of crisps ;)

Tuesday we left home at about 10:15 a.m. - heading off the long way round to Sandbach, Cheshire - doing the Round Britain Rally on the Goldwing. An excessively hot day when dressed in full motorcycling gear  but there is no greater pleasure than riding around the English countryside in glorious sunshine :D Have travelled through Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Nottinghamshire & Leicestershire - beautiful :D We have had a wonderful dinner - sharing sea food platter, sirloin for DH & chicken supreme for me. Sitting outside now finishing our beers, then off to bed - ooh, er missus :rotfl:

    2329 - 2332 Two drinks cans, 2 plastic bottles - Recycled

Well Done :- nannywindow - I quite agree that baby steps in the right direction are worth it - day to day decluttering might not be as flashy as a major Decluttering Project but I get some degree of satisfaction in keeping decluttered areas clean & tidy :p; TamsinC; Picklepot; Rose Crow; gilly1964 :rotfl::p; parsniphead; Barny1979 - :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

  • Morning, woke in night (usual) and saw the lightening etc, went out to see if I needed to wter plants but did not !!! Have taken photos and have started to get ready for listing stuff to EB.. again, also gave 6 fruit dishes (was going to list) to cleaner for £5, would have listed for £10, and also gave a cut glass water jug, free. Will be lovely to have the Pimms in the garden!!!! When checking garden I de-cluttered some weeds - the ones I had the strength to pull out. Have also de-cluttered a bottle of cherry wine and part of a 2nd one. The reason it has taken years is because I could not use corkscrew and refused to buy another one. Cleaner opened them for me, good girl, in the past I have gone to next door. Am Ok with screw top and not a wine drinker so these were gifts. Limocella also open and have found recipe out, Yay.
  • Well, my one shelf of my pull out larder collapses.
So time to sort ...approximately 30 of 50 things were out of date.
But surely salt doesn’t go off? On the other hand...do I need 5 different salts in addition to my everyday salt?

It's garden decluttering time and I was so happy this morning as we did a tip trip :j. We have also taken out a large shrub, ready to replace the side garden fence panels and filled the green waste bins again. I've also had to cut my thornless blackberry bush down to the ground, so I am hoping that it will come again next year. I would have removed the whole thing and kept it in a pot, but it's much too hot to try to dig it out . Trust us to pick one of the hottest weeks in the year to start this .
Now I have to clear up the side garden while we await delivery of the new panels, that should keep me amused and out of mischief for a while :rotfl:.
Take care and hugs to anyone in need.
    nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently
