Dh decided to declutter about 4ft off the top of some trees in the back garden :j. That chore has been pending for quite a while, so I have filled the green waste bins are and they are ready to be emptied by the recycling men. There are still more trees to cut down/back and we will eventually get around to them, when we have the energy and time !
We had a spanish omelette for tea tonight, so the fridge has also been decluttered of it's leftover bits and bobs, a few mushrooms, a pepper etc. I hate wasting food !
I did read about Swedish death cleaning and I'm trying my best to declutter before I go. Not knowing when that will be makes the deciding to get rid or keep a bit difficult, but I have started to weed out the unwanted things. I've told DH he's safe........ for now :rotfl:.
Hugs to anyone in need, for whatever reason.

191 - two things sold & posted but bought some lovely tops in a CS for a few pounds.

192 - Big bag of plastic etc up to the recycling bin.

193 - Various surplus pieces of wood brought downstairs and in the firewood pile to be sawn up or in the shed to be used on other projects.

194 - Bin of paperwork burned on bonfire.

I have too much furniture so sometime soon will get a few bits off to the CS. Haven't counted that as yet coz still need to actually do it!

Recycled - Envelopes and unwanted post, 4 batteries, plastic food containers that I have already reused.

Used up - almonds (made a cherry and almond cake), bottle of wine!

Made: five meat pies, cake and some disastrous scones. Plus dinner for tonight.

Normally I buy greaseproof liners for cake making but I decided not to replace them and go back to they way I was taught at college - to grease the tin then cover with a thin layer of flour. A little more cleaning needed the other end but no greaseproof waste a less items in my cupboards.
Have received a few deliveries this week. Have kept one box - when My mum moves house.
Have told hubby that I will wrap his Xmas present in the delivery bags this year. This he is happy with. Yay!

How do you have so many carrier bags - do you reuse them?
I keep a stuffed drawer filled with empty loaf wrappers & carrier bags but I do reuse the bread bags as dog poop bags when out walking the dog.
I do try & reuse carrier bags & keep some in the canvas shopping bag in the car.

It’s been slow but I’ll try to crack on it more tomorrow[/QUOTE]

Ah well that didn’t happen:rotfl: ended up putting up a new bed for DS - lots of recycling of packaging and eventually two mattresses and a bed frame will leave the building but not got them on any sites yet so not going to count them. DH chopped down a tree in the garden. Only another seven to go, :rotfl:

1078 -1079 two items sold on Etsy and posted.

I think that is about it,and busy taking MIL shopping tomorrow so won’t be doing much then either. Oh well. Life I suppose is allowed to happen. :D

    Evening everyone.

Just put the recyclying bins out to be picked up sometime tomorrow. They were supposed to be done yesterday but it is a Bank holiday here in N.Ireland so after a quick google we found that recycling is coming round tomorrow instead.
Have broken down a couple of cardboard boxes and envelopes from Amazon and got those into the recycling, old food went into the food recycling and tins/boxes put into the relevant recycling box also. :T

A load of paperwork and old payslips have been disposed of also.
Went through the bathroom cupboard yesterday, tidied up and started a new bag ready for the charity shop, along with a few gifts I received from kids in work for end of year. I hate doing it:(, but I honestly don't need any more cups/keyrings etc:eek:. As much as the thought is very much appreciated and seeing the child;s face light up when you open their gift, I can only use so much:rotfl:
And after typing this I've literally just remembered I've a bag of old clothes and rags that have to go out with the recycling too:doh:
Have taken note of the bra donation post a few pages ago so thank you for that, shall set those to the side and post at some stage this week too.

I'm now off to try and finish the last bit of my book so that can then head to the

    1. SMALL TASKS WILL BE DONE ASAP
    2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I ENTERED
    3. KITCHEN WILL BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
    4. WHEN DEALING WITH CLUTTER I WILL USE ‘Daisy1571’s idea of ‘WHAT WOULD I DO WITH THIS ITEM IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE’S ?’
    5. IF I WAS STARTING FROM SCRATCH, WOULD I BUY THIS?
    6. BE LIKE A POSTAGE STAMP - STICK TO ONE THING UNTIL YOU GET THERE

I sorted through the pile of DSis’s clothes Friday night before going to bed.
Saturday was a warm day & we did see the sun. All 3 of us had baths (separately :rotfl:) before going over to the neighbour’s house (Mr & Mrs T) with another neighbour family - so 7 adults & 5 kids. The kids all disappeared indoors to play computer games whilst the adults stayed outside in the sunshine :D Mr T was in charge of the BBQ & he was an excellent cook - burgers, sausages, chicken pieces & salmon all cooked to perfection :T The potato salad & focaccia went down well - Mr T even thought I had bought the focaccia :rotfl: (it was one of my better ones :rotfl:) The kids did come down for food :rotfl: but then disappeared back inside. We spent a wonderful 7 hours (yes you read that correctly seven hours :p) laughing, chatting, eating, drinking & getting to know each other. Back indoors at 9:30 p.m. so no decluttering at all :o

2229 - 2232 Two pairs of tights, pair of socks, worn out T-shirt - Binned

    2237 - 2253 Two shawls, World Cup 1998 cap, 7 tops/T-shirts, 2 pairs of shorts, 5 pairs of pyjama bottoms - CS

Well Done to the following :- TamsinC (life does have a habit of getting in the way of decluttering :rotfl:), oceanspirit, choille, Gem-gem, gilly1964, Sa1sysoo, IrishRose12 - Good Numbers :T

Oh nannywindow you do make me laugh :T I bet your DH was pleased to hear he was safe :rotfl:

Good start Rose Crow - Well Done

See you all tomorrow - or should that be later today ;)
