I took a bag of books to the charity shop today and have got another one ready to go tomorrow. Keep moving moving forward, even if the steps are small. 😀

Another gloriously sunny day :D so stripped the bed & remade with the summer bedding. A good drying day so washed the winter bedding & line dried ;) DH mowed the grass - front & back. DH also made a booth for paint spraying the old balance scales - he used an old tea-chest laid on its side & attached the builders vacuum through a hole in the bottom of the tea-chest. Such a clever clogs :p DSis & I walked to sm past the dock - a crested grebe & a coot are still nesting :D Sm was a bit busy but managed to get out in about 30 minutes. I did a bit of pottering in the garden & the shed. Also decanted some more home grown olives into small Kilner jars for gifts. Dinner was salad with fried chicken - again :rotfl:

1489 - 1494 Empty beer can, glass jar & metal lid, 2 drinks cans, 2 lots of cardboard packaging - Recycled
1495 - 1498 Carrier bag of kitchen detritus, empty plastic compost bag, small bag of garden detritus, plastic flower pot - Binned

Well Done on the computer decluttering ailz95 :T Re squirrels - they completely ignored the Squirrel Hotel we bought so it was donated to the CS. We now have a squirrel feeder with a lid that clanks :rotfl:

:naughty::naughty: Happy Kitties ;):D. As long as you are decluttering something you are winning :D You are working hard at reaching your neutral items target & you are still ticking over on the other type of decluttering :T. Do not be so hard on yourself :naughty: I am absolutely positive that your decluttering mojo will return ;)

A bag of books is NOT a small step Ginmonster :naughty: and 2 bags in 2 days is a major achievement :T Please do not sell yourself short ;)

Well Done Barny1979 (You should definitely be decluttering by weight :rotfl:) & Gem-gem :T

    See you tomorrow

    257-9 - 3 x packs of OOD vitamins
260-262 - 3 x sheets of corrugated plastic from old shed
263 - full wheelie bin - green waste

I've almost certainly decluttered more than this but haven't been keeping track. Generally my focus has been elsewhere - mostly on DS & supporting him during his stressful exam period.

DP is down and is making great inroads on my garden which is super-kind of him and is making a huge difference to how my home looks. :)

Today will be spent clearing up and packing as I'm off on a much needed holiday tomorrow :j

  • Not so much de-cluttering as up/down cycling. MT squarish oil bottle being cut in half lengthwise to put in shower rack )(hey never stay stuck on the tiles so hanging on nail outside) they will have holes in base and instgead of veg seeds will actually get some small flower plants to put in, also some old tin cans to make "plant pots" after drilling and painting. Will have to stop watching UTube I think but it keeps stuff out of bins and re-uses instead of buying pots which I end up cluttering the place with. Also use inside of crisps packets to make sort of reflective screen for seedlings so they grow upright, still putting old cardboard packets in bottom of plant pots, hope that does disintigrate just like the little bought pots, and toilet rolls insides. Trying hard.

I haven't been in for a little while as I have been a little busy on the allotment while I am free. I am on holiday for two weeks. This week was allotment and 'sorting', next week Greece with some friends .

Unfortunately I have been totally out of sorts physically having done the Moonwalk on Saturday night. 26.2 miles. I did burn a lot of calories in the 24 hours between getting out of bed on Saturday morning and completing the walk on Sunday. 9200 plus the total walking distance was 33 miles in 24 hours. then I did 3 more getting home. It was the cheapest night I have ever had in London :D

Apart from decluttering calories I have managed to get something done that has been waiting for a while. I had 7 bags of stuff for the local refugee charity. I dropped them off today. This included a bag of sanitary wear, a bag of blankets, a bag of boots, 2 bags of sleeping bags and 2 of coats.

They were very happy and gave me a cup of coffee. I have seen more indepth list which I can help them with so I said I would be back in a month.
