I bought two new clear plastic boxes with those hanging folders to organise my paperwork.
I'm sure I am keeping more bank statements than I need.
I want to separate the stuff I use regularly from the stuff I barely look at like mortgage deeds and pension documents.
All the old box files can be recycled as they are ages old!0 -
Everything is sorted out now.
There was some stuff like old bill statements and so there was a lot of paperwork that has gone in the recycling along with the old cardboard storage boxes.
My bank statements go back to 2015. I'm not sure I need to keep them but have for the minute.
I even found a book on early retirement with the pension documents that I had forgotten I bought.:)2025 GOALS

The pace has slowed at Gin Towers for the last few weeks as we've had lots of visitors and other stuff to do but we did manage to give the 6 year old's toddler bed to relatives for their little one so we've got rid of a bulky item. 😀
Unfortunately hubby was helping his dad declutter ahead of a move into a much smaller place and ended up bringing a whole load of stuff back to ours. It's hard to cure the hoarding habits!
I'm hoping to get more books shipped out to the charity shop this week as part of an ongoing mission to reduce the library to manageable proportions.
Good luck with all the decluttering everyone!

Hello fellow declutterers
I'm afraid I've been MIA for nearly a week as someone decluttered my internet and landline.
Anyway I'm back and ready to keep on decluttering, starting with a cs bag out for collection tomorrow.
Today I bought myself a new pair of slippers, so it's been out with the old broken ones. DH and I had optician appointments this morning, so my purse has been severely emptied as we both needed new glasses.
I hope everyone is well and hugs are available if needed, please help yourselves.

The cumulative effect of weeding, tidying etc WILL show eventually
you just need to keep your spirits up until that day arrives
More than one accessory? you can bump up your number again :rotfl:
Oh, good idea! I will have to be honest though and only count gardening at home, as I've just landed a small extra job as a gardener.I spent about four and a half hours there the other day so that would have been a lot of decluttering but not of my stuff.
I've another 30 items to report, mostly paper but also three items filed, the middle of some sellotape binned and some unused Christmas cards put away.
Keep up the good work, everyoneI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Sorted through some old magazines and took the recipes out that I wanted and recycled the rest of the mag. Still some more to do but just doing a little at a time.

A week on Sunday we're hosting a 70th birthday party for DH's ex-wife. His eldest son is actually organising it, but we have more outside space & parking so we said we'd hold it here. I'm trying to cut down on plastic and disposable items, so I've bought 6 x 24 pieces of stainless steel cutlery at just over £5 each. The space I'd made by de-cluttering has now been re cluttered, but I'm sure the cutlery will be handy to pass on to family - it's very lightweight & won't last long anyway.
I've decluttered my inbox and computer of newspapers and emails from newspapers - they always give miserable news and I don't want to be made miserable by them. So that leaves me more time for decluttering. I usually go back to bed after breakfast, but I'm working hard at not doing.
Decluttered half a dozen cardboard boxes. Discovered that an enterprising squirrel had made a hole in a large bag of bird food and was busy emptying it. The problem with squirrels is that they take more than they need and leave nothing for the birds . We bought a squirrel hotel for nuts for them - it took them less than a month to destroy it :rotfl:Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright0 -
*191 cat throw gone to CS. Have so many throws. Decided it would be better if someone else had the benefit from it as I just won'the use it.
*192 ink cartridges taken to recycling point
*193 plastic packaging to recycling point
78-88 neutral items x10 shipped out. Coming to the end of these now. My aim is 100 which I will hit and hopefully make lots of money for charity.
Not much else going on at the minute, need to get motivated again.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
