More recycling done & a few things listed on ebay. Sold an old item so that is good. Slowly does it for me. I must get a wiggle on this week though.

My ebay is all on BIN with no offers. I price things attractively and people can take it or leave it. Facebook groups are good for selling stuff especially as you are not paying ebay fees. Facebook marketplace/local groups can be full of timewasters and people wanting things for nothing IME.
I did have a lot of items on BINZ and at really low prices but just got loads of "watchers" for the 30 days and no buyers. I really miss the option to have BIN for a few days only instead of the until it's sold option.

IrishRose I have phases of the bay of e as people can be really cheeky and just want something for nothing but then u can get some really nice people on there aswell.
After this lot of items end I think I'll give myself a break from it.
So far this evening I've had people question why postage is £3.95 ermmmm that's the price of 2nd class recorded postage love....... asking will I separate the items ..... ummm no dear, if I wanted to do that I wouldn't have listed them together in the 1st place, and one person who seems to think I'm buttoned up the back as they want me to post to some foreign country via a different courier! Erm no mate, I'll let the item sit in the corner for another year thanks very much :rotfl:

Good news is 2 items have bids on them so hopefully they'll be gone soon.

Ailz so sorry to hear about your mum. Thoughts prayers are being sent your way xx

So the attic didn't get a look on today. After dinner I had a lie down........... and didnt surface again till 7pm :o obviously needed that nap more than a declutter :rotfl:
After washing up I've used up the remains of the cooked chicken and made a pasta bake for lunch tomorrow and have frozen the rest for later needs.
I did pit up a few solar lights I'd bought and didnt get round to using, do that's another thing ticked of my list, also replaced batteries in the various items around the house that had run out of power, and also sewed my work t-shirt that has been torn and sat unused for a few months now, so all In all I haven't done too bad lol.

    33. Signed up to Music Magpie today - £17.80 worth of books and DVDs will be winding its way to them tomorrow - with a recycled box and packaging paper.
    34. Handbag placed into the spare room - ready to be boot faired or sold via other means.
    35. Made more cards today - unused but either placed into the paper bin or general bin. Also binned an old glitter tube.
    36. Wrapped up a friend's present in a delivery box and recycled tissue paper. Material Ribbon placed round. If she won't reuse the ribbon, I'll ask for it ack. (Buying material ribbon instead of plastic curling ribbon as it can be reused.
    37. Shredded unwanted mail

Now going back to read all of today's posts.

Apologies, I have been very remiss - not posted for a few days. Friday my F*tb*t was not happy with me as I only managed 3 out of 6 goals :( I blame the weather ;) damp, drizzly cold day :( However made the F*tb*t happy Saturday & Sunday :D Friday DH & I finished our curries & DSis had egg & chips. Saturday’s dinner was sausages, mash, plum tomatoes & fried onions- los have been put into a pan as a start for hm soup. Sunday’s dinner was Somerset chicken from freezer, boiled potatoes & mixed veg - DSis barely touched hers  & when I told her she was having for dinner tomorrow night she got in a huff :(

    Have decluttered

247 - 249 Three cardboard delivery boxes dismantled & recycled
250 Packaging air bags popped (very therapeutic :rotfl:) & recycled

Cheerleading will be split over a couple of posts as I have 5 pages to go through :o So here goes by name :p

MadamMim, sooo Sorry about DS2 :( Decluttering sounds like a good idea :D. Fingers crossed that your body starts to cooperate & you can have a ‘rage declutter’ :D Glad that bit by bit wrote that lovely post & that you are calmer :) Pancakes - yummy 🤤 especially as made by someone else :T I do like the idea of a ‘Nest of Doom’ :rotfl:

chupachups4, ooh that is a big target  but I have every faith in you :T. Well done on the very quick sales - may all your listings be that quick :D More sales & waking up to sales - must set you up for the day :D That is a lot of listings - fingers crossed that you have numerous sales :D

Wanna Bee Free, Well Done on decluttering a large bag of books & I fully agree that the default should be ‘keep if unsure’ :T I trust your OH was successful :D

villagelife, Well Done on your decluttering :T I must admit I don’t get quite the joy of looking at digital photos as I do when handling photos or flicking through photo albums :( but digital photos do save space :) Through the 200 barrier - Well Done :T That is a lot of stuff out before 9:00 a.m. :T I am lucky if I see that time of the day :rotfl: Please do not get too downhearted with all the extra clutter - perhaps you can persuade your 2 DS’s that decluttering is a hobby :rotfl:

whmf00001, Well Done on the decluttering & Nice to have happy memories of childhood card games :D

givememoney & GreenQueen, Thank you both for making me laugh 🤭 :T

Happy Kitties, anything out is a bonus :D Well Done on continuing to ‘out’ the clutter :T Demanding cat - who would have thought :rotfl: does the cat have its own FB page :D Four parcels to send - you don’t do things by halves do you :D

Wednesday2000, you are doing really well & being very generous :A Glad you have got rid of the ‘nasty’ paperwork :T

aimeemum, that is a major success getting DH to clear ‘your’ kitchen table :rotfl: ‘One in, One out’ definitely stops clutter building up :T Good luck with the plan :D I only fold for 2 so quite like the MK folding but never quite got my head around sparks joy :rotfl: especially with things like can openers :rotfl:

Fire Fox, your procrastinating post did make me laugh :rotfl: Wow :T excellent decluttering - see procrastination works :rotfl:

I have to go now - my battery power is in the red :( I will catch up with the rest of my cheerleading tomorrow :D

  • Sorry for your loss @ailz95 :heart2:
Shifting my energy for 2020 :heart::heart:
  • ailz95, sorry to hear of your loss.

I'm still in that weird time between my dad dying and the funeral, so I can sympathise. In some ways it's easier on yourself if you can keep busy with practical things. It's funny the small, seemingly insignificant things that trigger memories.

It's been a bad time - I have two other friends in RL who have lost parents in the last couple of weeks, suppose it comes from being "a certain age".

  • MrsSD - it is MY kitchen table. No-one else loves it in the same way I do!! :D

Sorry to hear about your Mum ailz95 xx

  • Got back on the decluttering wagon this weekend, by sorting out the spice jars and the coat rack - two fairly defined areas that weren't likely to "creep".

Got rid of 12(!) out of date/virtually empty jars/packets of herbs and spices, and found all sorts of detritus in coat pockets - old shopping receipts, manky tissues, gloves that have been repatriated, etc.

    107-118 herb/spice containers recycled/binned
119 bag of rubbish from coat pockets
    120-122 coats to CS

  • Good morning - 2nd chapter of cheerleading :D

bit by bit, Thank you for sharing & letting MadamMim know that there is hope of a favourable outcome :T

Barny1979, more carpet :T is the house starting to echo :D Well Done on getting rid of a fitted wardrobe :T Do you have to produce your id when you visit your Tip? or do they just wave you in :D. Is the non-holey sock still lurking :rotfl: Wallpaper stripped & tree pruning definitely counts as decluttering - unless you are keeping the wallpaper & tree cuttings :rotfl: for Justin :rotfl:

Gem-gem, Well Done on decluttering items & earning lots of pennies from your books :T. More pennies :T and sounds like you are making a big dent in your card crafting stash :T.

pixielottie, sounds like you are back on track :D shame about the lost post :( decluttering a face mask to the boyfriend sounds cheaper & quicker than decluttering the boyfriend for a new one :rotfl: Welldone on starting on the ‘Desk of Doom’ :rotfl: Hope you had a nice evening & your decluttering batteries are now recharged :D

Cherryfudge, Well Done on the decluttering :T Perhaps I should take a leaf out of your book & declutter rather than read about decluttering :rotfl:

Downshifterella, Well Done on keeping up the decluttering momentum :T Do you derive a sense of satisfaction when you wash items for the CS? Or is that just my quirk :D. I think hubbies areconditioned to ignore clutter :rotfl: probably because their mums & now their better halves have always tidied up after them :rotfl:

White_musk, you forgot to add ONE to your numbers - you have decluttered your ‘shame’ :rotfl: Your bedroom sounds wonderful :D The personal touches are always the task that makes you feel as if you have completed a major declutter :D Please savour the feeling of a job well Done :T
Oh the satisfaction of filling bins :D & then comes the annoyance of finding more stuff that has to hang around until the bin is emptied :rotfl: Hope the picture hanging can resume quickly :D
Well said White_musk :T Decluttering is definitely an individual task - the one thing we all have in common is that we want to declutter :D Just really nice that we can share our methods & tailor our decluttering to our characters :D Maybe you ‘decluttered the ironing’? so no need for an iron :rotfl: Glad that you are rewarding yourself with some family time - you deserve it :A. Well done on finding just a few more inches of space in the wheeli bin :T

I am off now to have a bath as DH & I have a lunch date with his niece - the one who wined & dined us at Portcullis House a few weeks ago :D

This is the perfect time to stop my cheerleading as I now only have 3 pages to go :D:eek::rotfl:

  • Sorted my 'clutter box' - it's the box in my bedroom where everything without a home ends up. 2 outgrown christmas jumpers, a bag of old work uniform that hubby no longer needs (has to be taken to the tip as it's all logo'd) and a number of cuddly toys the kids have 'donated' to my car boot pile are all now where they need to be. What should I do next?

Oh and while looking for a piece of paper I emptied a big file of papers - all of it was so old it was from before we moved house (nearly 4 year years ago) and was all things like school letters from when my eldest was in YrR (he's now in Yr4!) - I think I am ok to let it all go! :D ......I didn't find the paperwork I was looking for though. :(
