What is it with Ebay -silly "improvements" making things worse ??
I've used Ebay for years.
Most things worked perfectly well.
But Ebay heep changing silly things for some reason, who knows why !!!???
Obviously some Ebay employee has had a brainwave & they change little things for some reason without thinking.
1) "You Won" confirmation emails don't contain ANY seller information anymore.
No seller ID, no item no.
I use the Seller ID or item number to search my emails.
2) On Paypal, you cannot pay for multiple ebay items in one payment.
3) You Save an Ebay listing, you get a load of gumph in the title, ebay categories -why, which does not include item number.
Before you only had the relevant item details.

The problem I am talking is going directly to Paypal to enter items individually & make payment, not through eBay.

Has eBay disabled the new Search & gone back to the old Search system ??
The new Search seems to have disappeared for all my eBay user id's.

Strange as now if you look at an auction all of the bidders are hidden! They never used to be, so howcome thy are now,.
As for the link to opt out, that is for ebay.com not .co.uk.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

hi
ebay made the annoucement of this 26/03/08 it's called
PROTECTING BIDDERS USER ID's and when a seller is signed in only they can see bidders ID and at end of auction only winning bidder's ID will be shown. all other bidders ID's will still be masked0 -

How does it protect me as I buyer?
I always liked to check out my competition before making a bid to see if they were collectors, what they had bough in the past and how much and when they made their bids. I am afraid now I can't do this.
I am thinking instead of it protecting buyers it leaves the door open for shill bidding. How do I know it is genuine bidders I am up against?0 -

Strange that arrogant eBay have forgotten what auctions are about.
Each person bidding may want to check others bidders history.
Anonymous bidding will easily allow shill bidding.
Ebay are just protecting their own interests, not bidders.
It is disgraceful what they have done.
