    I can't see a Opt out option:confused:

A thousand apologies !! I made a mistake in the address. OH still not home but decided to try the address and noticed I'd missed out a dot.
    first the good news
typed http://shop.ebay.com/ in address bar at top of page pressed enter and got really excited when I saw this
YOU ARE CURRENTLY TESTING EBAY NEW SEARCH FACILITY
    TO OPT OUT CLIK HERE
I pressed ok opt out. it took me to home page of ebay(USA) and there was the old format !!

    now the bad.
changed region to uk and guess what ! I was back to new search format. I wish I hadn't bothered listing yesterday and when they've:confused: ended I'm off to ebid

I am fed up with ebay too, the new fvfs are extortionate, much more than the reduction on listing fees, and in the moment the buyers are just not there so you end up worse off from just selling few items.

I am not listing anything for 6 weeks while I move house and am going to try all the other sites anyone can think of when I get going again!;)

    Any suggestions apart from ebid????!

Plenty listed at https://www.ebay-alternatives.co.uk, worth looking at https://www.121bid.com and https://www.tazbar.co.uk

I used to love ebaying, it was like the Wild West.

Now ebay has become a megalomaniac, trying to control everything.

In the sticky thread 'helpful links' on this board there is a list of other auctions sites that you might want to try.

So far I have tried ebid for approx 3 years with no sales and virtually no views and am just trying Tazbar now but again no sales so far but I did once have a watcher :j

I haven't sold a thing since the search thingy changed a couple of days ago,not sure if its that or the free listing day!

Some of my items don't have any more competition than normal so I am tending to blame the search thingy.

for "search thingy" read Ebays f**king balls up of the ebay search facility"

I have just phoned eBay to ask how you can easily see a seller's completed listings in the new Search, as you used to have a check box on left side in the old Search.
Of course they told that was not possible anymore as option had been removed.

They told me that if I deleted my Cookies, you would return to old Search.

I haven't tried it yet, as there are some features I like in new Search, so don't want to test it just yet. They also said, if that doesn't work, phone them & they will return me to old Search.

You could delete all your cookies or find & delete only the ebay cookies, so other websites are not affected.

    Anyone want to try ??

I tried this, searched for eBay cookies & deleted them.

Found it did return to old Search format, but I think if you sign out, then back in it reverts to new Search format.
