If you want Wales I will have an annex you can stay in to explore the area, not to live in
We are still not sure about our money situation, which I find really scary. Since I have taken care of the budget I am very vigilant, and not knowing the stress of moving but don't know when and living with boxes is all making me very stressed which really affects my bipolar
Today is a sitting in bed crying day
BUT I have joined a challenge where Frugaldom has put up a very good (For what I need spreadsheet) so going to try to fill that in tonight.
I just want to REALLY thank everyone that has posted
Yes it is a really big adventure and one I really want to make, but mentally it's very challenging

Ahhhh sending you lots of virtual hugs Aaleigha. Moving is so stressful as your life seems to be in linbo (and boxes) we did 6 houses in 7 years through hubby's work from one end of country to the other. I found the only way I could keep sane was writing lists, lots of list!
You're on an exciting journey and once the blip of moving is out of way, you'll soon find your feet with your new budget. This is the next chapter and a fresh start in a shining new year. A house in a beautiful part of the world with a holiday let....you're living my retirement dream. I'm really excited for you abd can't to hear about your new adventures xFinally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Well I have given this a lot if thought before setting these targets an emergency fund £1000 - I will achieve this by saving £40 per month as standard then extra as we can afford it
Keep a record of every penny spent (my hubby knows he has to get every receipt
Keep saving for fuel for when we move - sinking fund
Halve all our sinking fund savings to put towards emergency fund (hopefully giving us an extra £80 a month towards emergency fund)
Menu plan and stop buying because it's on offer.
I also need to research the cost of fuels in the area we will be moving to

That sounds like a sensible list of targets and EF definitely a must. We managed to scrape ours together this year, but the thought of using it now makes me feel sick.

Thank you everyone
I have just done my spreadsheet for the year
And we need to tighten our belts a hit more oooops
However my hubby's private pension is unknow
It's not a huge amount but we are using the house we have now as pension our DSS is going to buy it from us and pay half of what it would cost him a year if he got a mortgage it will go up yearly by cost of living or 2% whichever is greater
So we should be fine once we get there as I think I have over budgeted
But even with that its a shock which is a good thing
We will obviously be out foraging when we take the dogs for a walk
We have 6 dogs all but one a rescue one is now very elderly so not really expecting to have him more than 6 months at the most
There is virtual wine and nibbles in the corner
Help yourself if you want a hot drink the kitchen is through there
