Declaring for January £200.78 I am extremely happy with that as, I've basically halved the usual amount spent over the last year.

However we have used 90% of freezer stores and all pantry except for carbs (grains, pasta, rice) We also did one week of no spends at all which went much better than expected.

I am much less confident about February due to needing meat and fish as we have non left at all.

Well, declaring with a sneaky £10.35 added to January's budget, though it could as easily go under February's, at a satisfactory but not entirely accurate £334.06/£400. Will try to get the family to declare their "little" spends - a loaf here, a tub of yogurt there - in Feb!

Happy with January spends, from my annual budget, quite a bit of bulk buying included, not a lot of day-day food required.
Do I need it or just want it.
  • Wow, I've done it again! £65/£125. I had a little help from £20 of Morrisons vouchers. Thanks for all the tips and encouragement. Another £60 toward my bulk fund.

  • in for another month . ive written it all down but not added up as i was over at half way . biggest problem areas have been medicine / flu /cough remedies which wasnt budgeted for but has been quite high (first time ill in a few years though so could be worse) ive also went for more convience foods and eating out as feeling to ill to cook or make anything with effort.

Anyways feb shall be better .
