Just spotted that on ebay they are selling fake OBD ports for £15. You plug it into the original, which you have moved, and they supply power to the thieves plug, but won't communicate. tbh, simply moving the original port out of arms reach from the window would be a lot cheaper.
(Presumably then they follow the lead to where it plugs into the genuine port, but unlikely they have the time, it takes less than a minute to steal a fiesta via the obd port, which they do from outside the car anyway.)
So, get a visible steering wheel cover lock, and use it, move the obd port, and get any aftermarket alarm fitted is about all that you can do.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

The point is that if you have undeclared mods and you have an accident, your insurance company will void your insurance and not pay you a penny even if you weren't at fault. Happened to a relative of mine.0 -
