  • First day in new job went well today, it's a years training contract with a guaranteed promotion at the end if I complete the course. Looking forward to the 3 days a week salary, not the actual juggling it'll entail though. Historically, I've only ever done 2 weekdays and then a weekend day, so an all new pattern!

  • Glad the first day went well! You'll soon learn to enjoy your free weekends when the other jobs come to an end! :)

Thank you. Yes, in a few months, I'll probably wonder how I managed such random hours for so long! Needs must, but time for a change :)

  • Nothing new to report really, these autumnal months seem to blur into one!

Doing well with my Christmas shopping, going to do an inventory this weekend of it all. I know in previous years, I've overspent because I start shopping so early, I forget what I've bought and keep buying. I'm thinking by writing a list, I can see exactly what I've bought each child and how much I've spent. I try and keep it roughly even, but invariably I spend more money on fewer items for the older 2.

Food shopping/meal planning also going well, so I'm pleased about that. Still room for improvement mind!

Going to fireworks tonight, kids love them. I've bought an advance ticket which was cheaper and will be taking our own snacks, so not too spendy hopefully.

I finish both my side hustle jobs at the end of the month, looking forward to it. although I've had several jobs for so long, it almost makes me nervous having all my eggs in one basket. OH thinks I'm mad

  • Went to a lovely party yesterday after work, feeling a little fragile this morning :o

Had an unexpected £300 extra from one of side jobs as they'd miscalculated tax, so I've put it straight in CC

Went through everything I've bought for Christmas, good news is I haven't bought too much, it was pretty much spot on. I've got a few 'big' gifts left to buy, that I'll get after I get paid. Then a few stocking fillers and I'm done! :T

  • Not much to report, just trundling along trying to stay out of mischief.

Doing well with taking lunch into work and still being mindful with spending...

I'm finding the dark early evenings tough, my body clock hasn't caught up!

  • All our planned expenses have gone out for the month and we've got £350 left in our bank account, our monthly spend credit card will end up being approx £1500 so no improvement on last month, but I've done most of our Christmas shopping this month, so I'm pretty pleased with that.
