Ah legoland cooperate days. Love them. I am hoping to take the big two to an alton towers day in march when husbands employer (who I believe is the same as your sat one) does this. Have the date in the diary, just waiting for the tickets to be released.
I've been thinking of doing the alton towers day out, through my employer :p next year I'm just not sure if my two are still too young

Their takeover days are such good value.... Alton Towers is a bit too far for us, but we make use of the Thorpe Park, Longleat and Legoland ones :D

From memory, Alton Towers and Thorpe Park are better for children aged 10+ if you want to get on majority of rides

This is what we've been like, paying off the card in full has left us with no money so we've had to live on the card again. I'm planning to set up 2 pots, food and petrol, our main card spends, which we'll build up over about 6 months so we put the money in one month to use the following whilst gradually building them up to our agreed monthly budget. Does That make sense? May be worth a try

Definitely makes sense... to be honest, I'd be happy if it was £800 a month (food and petrol), and it wouldn't really bother me being a month behind with those two pots. The other £700 I need to sort :o

  • Knee deep in present wrapping! Had quite a lot of paper left over from last year, so I'm using that up before buying any new stuff!
Steering clear of looking at Black Friday deals, we don't particularly need anything, so I'm avoiding being tempted!

  • Alton towers is too far to do in one day so would need an overnight stay. But there are premier inns just of the M6, about 45mins away. Stayed in one when I went with my sister for her 40th. Really hoping to do it. Go on sale on 14th Jan, just got to persuade my husband (as he is the actual employee) and find someone to have the small two overnight.
    Debt free Feb 2021 🎉
  • DIrect debit day tomorrow, my lovely bank balance will dwindle before my eyes :D

Christmas is hammering us... my husband and I struggle to not overbuy and this year isn't really an exception. The excess will be absorbed by income and overtime, but no inroads into savings or debt repayment will be made in December

  • Still alive... just working and trying to keep on top of all the kids' stuff at school. So much to remember, it makes my head hurt.
2 more weeks and then 2 weeks off, can't wait!

  • One thing I hate about working is when the kids are ill.... I would like to just stay at home with them and hibernate.... but your bosses don't give a crap. OH and I end up arguing over who is going to !!!! their boss off. It's sad. One day this week I ended up giving my little one calpol and sending him to school, hoping he'd make it through the morning as neither of us could take the time off without getting in major trouble, which he did. I picked him up when the school inevitably rang me at work and spent the afternoon snuggled up with him on the sofa, which is where I wanted to be all along. Working sucks!!

I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long

Lovely to hear from you :)

All very excited for Christmas, I've done all my Christmas shopping and it's all wrapped up too (stop prying eyes mainly!).
We've pretty much absorbed it all over the last 2 months pay cheques, nothing saved or paid off otherwise, but no overall card balance increases. That's as good as it gets with us this time of year!!
Did a lovely big booze shop ready for Christmas too, lots of yummy spirits. Our poor livers :rotfl:
