Interesting about the jab - we're on schedule for April (over 50 but not significantly vulnerable) so lucky I have got plenty to do at home

Sarahwithlove said:That's great news about your leave. We've been told to use it or lose it with ours which is frustrating. I think its good that kids can go in a few days, my nephew goes in Thursdays and Fridays and it's done him the world of good
Kids love school.... I'd send them in every day really. I could, but they discourage it if you're at home, so I'm keeping to the 3 daysDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

I think I've probably still got some antibodies.... they sent me in to scan covid positive patients a few times 1) because I'd had it, so 'would be safe' and 2) because the others were older and in 'at risk' categories. Made me chuckle at 42 that I was the young upstartI didn't catch it a second time (yet anyway). Who knows

Thanks for explaining that OS...hadn’t realised the jab could be an annual thing . I guess the scientists are finding out more about the virus all the time.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

I wouldn't say I am particularly, would prefer to completely avoid covid tbh. The NHS don't pay you if you choose not to work and there's no option to work from home so everyone has to just get on with it and hope for the best. One of my colleague's friends who works at another NHS contracted COVID at work, she's on a ventilator now and not expected to make it. Mid 50s, no underlying health conditions. Very sad and worrying.

Very...
Back to work next week, not overly looking forward to it, but needs must. Kids (younger 2 who are at primary) are going to key worker school, which they're really excited about.
I've offered to do mandatory training at home in advance and I'm getting paid for that, so that's nice
Very much looking forward to pay day on Monday, it's seemed a very long month financially and although we're in the black, it's looking tight!DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

I'm so behind on updating!
Busy at work, really liking new department. The manager is more realistic about list sizes and schedules the odd 10 min comfort break in which makes a difference. The team are nice and so far, so good.
Money wise, we're doing fine. Managed to save £500 in January, so that was good as usually we'd be paying off the Christmas hangover. My husband's annual bonus is being paid in March, he's been told it'll be £14k, so after 42% deducted for tax and NI it works out at about £8k. We're using it to renovate the bathroom, very pleased as it's the last room to complete
Hope everyone is doing ok in these strange timesDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

well done on the saving (and the bonus!) - we need some renovation and refreshing, but lockdown seems to have sent us into it'll wait mode!.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine7
