Hi All,
I am getting concerned and a little irate in that I read the forum on share dealing and obvioulsy the one company standing out in front for simple transactions is Hoodless Brennan, I applied on line and got an email back stating I needed to send 2 further items for identification ie bank statement and another. I returned these and was expecting them to be returned and my account set up.....I have heard nothing at all, I have emailed them twice and had no response or acknowledgement at all.
Are these people renowned for poor customer service?
Has anyone else suffered like this?
If they dont want me as a client....fine....but at least tell me so I can look elsewhere!

I'm also having the same cr4p slow service from Hoodless brennan.
In fact I'm going to close my account (whenever it gets set up - waiting over a week now)...as soon as they bother to set it up.

Probably going to go with halifax...not too bad either......

I have been buying and selling shares only making a small profit (under £2000) I have no other income. I think i'm right in saying you don't pay Capital gains tax unless you make over £9600 but do i need to fill in a tax return?

Funny I received a letter and email from them Hoodless Brennan today apologising for the slow reaction but this is due to the high levels of business and application numbers due to financial markets!

I also sent a HMRC document that was 2008 but just outside their 6 month validity date window!!! So having to send another to make up for it.....in the meantime the shares I wanted to buy at 2p are now 4.5p!!! So much for quick dealing service!

Hi guys, im actually trying to set up with Selftrade at the minute - and having very little success - i dont think they are able to verify my bank and/or my personal details. and everytime it fails i have to get another referral to try it again!! frick! Tempted to go with hoodless brennan in the meantime just to get on some shares iv been looking at (BT Grp only 75p, must be value at that)

Let me know how yous get on.

still waiting for my account to be opened with hoodless brennan --- 2 weeks 3 days and counting....

If you want to trade quickly DO NOT touch them with a bargepole.....
