X-O do a very no frills option you might consider. £5.95 dealing fee. No annual or inactivity fees. Thats on their investment account. I believe their SIPP has fees and im not sure about their ISA (though probably fee free except for dealing charge).

I see that Halifax Sharedealing are doing a special next Tuesday. Trade between 12:00 and 14:00 for £3.95 per deal.

Not seen one of these for a long time, but will be useful for transferring some shares from my main account to my ISA wrapper.

A quick question on Online platforms for Trading accounts.
I am setting up a Discretionary Trust and intend to use a trading platform to create a trading account in the name of the Trustees of the Trust – several people involved – so Shares/Funds can be occasionally added/removed over the 7+ years it is expected to exist

My understanding is :

-Hargreaves Lansdown DO offer this capability
-Intelligent Investor DO NOT

Does anybody know anybody else who provides or doesn’t this capability ?

Well, I'm not usually thick ! ( not too much anyway... ) but this stocks and shares idea IS rather daunting ..
Anyone out there can recommend a SUPER Easy book, website, whatever, on how to get to grips with this kind of stuff ....
Anything at all out there designed to cater for one not in the least inclined to "Worldly " enterprise ..
and all associated complicated jargon...
Say something like ~ Investing for five year olds ! that'll do nicely .... I got to start somewhere ! :T

Five year olds are not allowed to invest, so that's an easy book.

Monevator is a good site to start from.

A list of recommended books is yet another resource this forum provides.

This current thread is long and technical, look around the board for shorter, simpler and more relevant ones.
