having received a confirmation email from them

pretty sure they need to confirm your address in some way probably by sending you a password. Is there a rush to invest right now, this market I dont think is going to jump up like last July, though I can really never tell

    - been sent an email with password confirmation
    - been sent a letter to acknowledge good receipt of the registration process
    - been searched credit report as 'generic check'

still showing 'Invalid access to site' when trying to log in, and no answer to email enquiry yet.

For a small time investor, which online trading sites would anyone recommend? I'm talking a newbie looking to invest £500-£1,000.
  • Hi,

I have recently received shares worth 20k (paper certificates) in a relatively new company trading on the AIM. I am looking to sell my shares in one or two dealings. I have heard alot about Hoodless Brennan but have seen that they have been taken over by TD Waterhouse and MoneySavingExpert is currently reviewing who now represents the best deal in this area. Has anyone got any suggestions?

    thanks

First time investor here. Always wanted to deal in shares but never been brave enough. Always thought the person on the phone wouldn't be friendly and would be arrogant. I was surprised to find, using Nationwide's service, that the woman was nice and friendly on the other end.

Anyway. Brought some shares. Was watching Google Finance as I was buying. I was getting a different price to her then realised Google Finance is on a 15min delay. Does anyone know of any free share software, like I've seen pros use on YouTube, for free? That monitors the shares in real time?

Also has anyone had any dealings with Day Trading?

I use www.shareprice.co.uk which streams in real time, but you need to be registered to do this (at no cost)

I'm a relative newbie to share dealing too.
I use and can recommend x-o.co.uk for trading, as they seem to have the lowest trade commission around, which is ideal if you are looking at smaller trades.
