Quite right too, as you said:a driver of a car parked in a car park when we went to pay it asked us to put the registration of the car in which it just wouldn't let us do. I'm not bad with technology at all I'm qualified in IT service management. We put the money in for 3 hours and only stayed for 2 and a half
Scammery. Well done for standing firm & not paying them. :TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It would seem this HX Car parking have a lot of these machines that just won't let people put a reg or a full reg in. There's been so complaints about this company in Cumbria that an MP has now been involved. Also I'd like to say thank you to everyone on here for your help with all the guides and templates in the sticky threads.0

No newspaper article but its the 4th review that details how the MP is involved and they refuse to meet her. It seems their machines are just dreadful or maybe set up so they just don't work properly at all.0 -
Sorry the car park we used is on Damside Street in Lancaster just opposite the bus station. Their signage is terrible as well it faces out of car park on to a busy main road which feeds the bus station not exactly a place you can stop to read on the way in.0

That set of reviews paint clear evidence of a machine failure scam, IMHO, and will be useful for us to remember to tell people to print off as evidence to support their WS, when they have a similar 'part VRN' claim hanging over them.
Judges need to see hat this is, on the balance of probabilities, and inherent fault that this despicable company know all about and do nothing to address.
Parking firms need banning entirely IMHO. Landowners should run their own parking with cheap signs and no threats (or just put gates up if parking is not invited) and if they want to issue charges at least a landowner would be less likely to run land like a cash cow scam.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Exemplary credentials. He said HX had many accreditations including Approved Operator of the International Parking Community. He added the company was a member of the British Parking Association and Disabled Motoring UK.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

7. It is an integral part of the parking scheme that a valid ticket is registered and the appropriate
tariff is paid for as otherwise the scheme would be unmanageable. If my Company were to waive
one charge on the basis put forward in the Defence it would open the floodgates to the waiver of
many more charges, making the parking management process that has been put in place entirely
redundant.
This was pretty much their response when we appealed with a copy of the ticket from their machine. I think the floodgates should open when people have legitimately paid to park and are still penalised.0
