If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Drop him an email or ring though.

I emailed there and you get an "out of office" ebay message straight back, asking you to send an email to an email address outside of ebay.

Almost certainly a scam. Will email it and see.
  • The text describing the car seem a bit...unprofessional? Seems a bit too good to be true to be honest, be careful. I'm sure that some people will sell cheap if they are desperate to get rid but this doesn't seem to be the case here, I would avoid if I was you.

Its the usual "pay first to a third party and i will have the car delivered" scam.

    Hi,
Since I am in the Isle of Man there are only 2 ways to do this sale:

    * The first option is to use a transport company that deals with the transaction, vehicle and the money as escrow. I travel for my work and I do not have time to bring the vehicle and I think your free time is limited too, so this is the perfect way to make things easier, fast and safe for both of us. I will pay the company, so you will not pay extra money then the vehicle price. You will get the vehicle to your home address, and you can check the vehicle before making the final decision. I think this is the perfect way for us.

    * The second option is by using PayPal pay after delivery service: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/pay-after-delivery-terms

PayPal “Pay After Delivery terms” – PayPal UK
    /
    https://www.paypal.com

Please let me know how you want to continue with this transaction and I will provide more details.

New seller with no history, selling a car at virtually half price which is Aurora Blue, but according to DVLA checks should be Silver!

Normally suggests it’s either been heavily damaged and repaired, or will be offered as an off eBay sale with bank transfer required which cannot be reversed when it turns out the car doesn’t really exist. Motorguy seems to have sussed the truth for you.

    I wouldn’t risk it personally.

That link now goes to a page saying:

"We looked everywhere. Looks like this page is missing. If you still need help, visit our help pages."

I think that sums it up.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
