Thankyou. Payday tommorrow and newly revised budget to follow. Im taking inspiration from chahren19 and her diary and moving to cash in my purse. I cant get to a cash machine every day so im drawing out weekly money to cover food petrol and childrens activities. My budget is 140 for all this normally so im planning to only take out 135 to see if i can save some. This may also help me focus on my money and stop obsessing over what is and isnt in the bank. Ive done an online shop as i have really empty cupboards and no time for a shop. So cash wise i will withdraw 60 and i cant take out any more till next tuesday. Only other spends are d debits and money i have set aside for the b days.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Happy Payday :T

What a chaotic couple of days. Online shopping didnt show up. Was the 8.30-9.30pm slot. Customer service said to stay in and wait. 11 pm I gave up, then sent the kids on a school trip the next day with jam butties and broken breadsticks.....not my finest pack lunch.
Turned out the van broke down, they couldnt deliver the next day so i had to collect, got home to find they had tried to deliver anyway... and still awaiting a refund for the shopping that never was. Must complain and make sure Im refunded. So much hassle. Its a big incentive to have more money left in the bank before payday to avoid relying on a last minute/payday shop. In other news I saw someone from where i used to work who said they are crying out for bank staff. Called in today to say hello and if I complete application etc they will interview and take me on as bank. They asked me to apply full time but I know I cant/is impossible with little kiddies.
Naff pay and Less per hour than the agency but most services they cover are 15 minutes or less from my house and i have worked at all of them before so know them and thats better than travelling miles into the unknown with the agency. I'd remain on agencies books as well I think.to give me options. Slightly worried as that would be me having 3 jobs officially but as long as Im not at them all on the same day whats the worry!! I colour code my diary already i would just need more colours xx
Payday again tommorow for bank work. Weekly pay is very nice. Its all spoken for as i need to pay for the washing machine but hey ho. Ive updated tax credits about the second job and it looks like I will only owe a bit back...famous last words though as the tax credit system is beyond any sensible explanation in my experience. Its alwsys a scary time of year. I update them all the time with changes but it always seems to be that i owe money at the end of the financial year.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

How frustrating about the shopping.
Good news about the job :T
I agree about Tax credits, they are a complete minefield and I never understand them."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thought i should update how my cash week went...
Drum roll please......
I failed miserably. The online shop that never came had to be reprocessed for me to pick up. So I got charged again, I have been back and forth on the phone and today one week on I have finally had confirmation that I will get a refund for the delivery that never came. Expected to land in my bank in 2-3 days. Ive used the card, spent the cash and am more confused than i was last week. I will sit down and work it out as im filling out the frugal spreadsheet for myself just to see where it all goes.
I will try it again this week. 3 weeks till pay and 329 left in the food/petrol/activity budgets. 110 per week to withdraw. Gonna take out 100 and see how i get on. Other spends such as b days and clothes are still budgeted for but im not carrying cash for them. Too tempting ha ha.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

My sub prime credit card with a limit of 1000 pounds Has just offered me an increased limit of 3100. My take home pay is 880 a month and my defaults are all under 6 years old so presumably they have access to knowing the level of debt i have?? Its scary that they would ket me rack up that much more debt.
Just wanted to share my thoughts.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Crackers isnt it. It started at 500 and i accepted the 1000 limit as thats more sensible for large purchases to then psy off obviously. I dread to think what the interest would be on a 1000 let alone a 3100 debt. I May google it just to see.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213
