We had a problem with online statements which we needed.
so complained, online with TSB, which you would with any company.

So next time your company does not comply.....complain.

and yes to K.H....@ you...complain next time !

I did complain- several things happened, including 'an adjustment' to my credit card : removing and replacing funds (a bit like Nero fiddling whilst Rome burned!!)
    £150 received this week.
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I've had no real problems with TSB since their IT "upgrade" earlier this year but I've recently moved house and found their systems for updating your address are a bit archaic.

Can't do it online and you either need to print out and post a form, go into a branch or do it over the phone.

The latter wouldn't be too bad but you need to be registered for telephone banking which isn't done by default when you open the account (why on earth not?) Even when they register you for it you can't actually use it for five working days.

I had to stifle a laugh when the guy was explaining that now, unlike the other banks that are using software from the 80's and 90's, they're using Windows 7. It's not exactly "brand new" itself and is due to reach end of life in 2020 anyway.

Hopefully they won't have to reupgrade their server operating system in just over a year. It didn't work too well the last time.

    Wrong link?

I'm guessing it has to do with updating your address so yeah, it's a bit archaic.

Just over two weeks ago I applied for the TSB Classic Plus account once they were accepting online applications.
The process seemed to go smoothly up to a point,
    - the application was processed and accepted,
    - I was able to set up an internet banking user ID and password
    - the debit card was mailed out to me
    - a PIN number was sent to my address
    - and the internet banking activation code also arrived.
This last item was the problem, I also got the dreaded "generic exception code" when logging onto internet banking after keying in the user ID and password.
I tried different browsers, PC, laptop and tablet, Windows and Android, but no joy.

I clicked on the link to request a new activation code.
This arrived within a week, and returned the same "generic exception code" during the logon process.
I phoned the TSB Internet Banking helpdesk, and was on hold for around 5 minutes. I had to provide some personal details, full name, address, DoB, mobile number used for registering, account number, 3 digit CVV code and they were able to resolve the activation code error, although they had to text me a new temporary password and I had to reset it at first login.

It was irritating that the activation code error occurred, but I had no complaints with the Customer Services Advisor, and within 10 minutes I had access to my current account offering 5% interest on up to £1500 as long as the qualifying criteria is met in order to earn the interest.
