I know lots of people have had problems with TSB, but i'm quite happy with them. 5% interest on £4500 and £125 compensation for an inconvenience that never really inconvenienced us

The 5% is good interest rate. I have had a TSB account for a few years. I find their app amongst the better banking apps.

Datlex is correct. The wife and I have an account each and a joint account.

Well, what a surprise!
If you didn't experience any difficulties why would you complain?
If you did have difficulties but didn't bother to complain then that's yours (or OP's ) problem.

If that is aimed at me- no!

I have learned from experience that if you have a valid point you complain politely.
If you have a valid point but just mutter and grumble but actually don't contact the business / firm concerned then nothing happens.

In the TSB debacle not everyone had a problem
Some folk had minor problems (me included, luckily it is not my main account.)
Some folk had very major problems and I hope they are compensated adequately for all the worry and frustrations involved.
