:hello: Am really fed up today, close to tears, but nothings wrong.
Just moved in with darling boyf, but I feel restless and unsettled for past few days. Any ideas what we could go out and do this evening to add a little excitement?
Showery here but no snow yet! You must be far up north twink?0 -
Hi - just sat down with a cuppa. SKINT-CAT - sorry you're feeling down - hope things are better soon.
GRANNYBROON - have a great time in Ireland!
JANNYANNIE - please share your recipe for moisturising cream! I would love to be able to make my own.
There seems to be a lot of little ones catching bugs, lately, so I hope they all feel better over the weekend.
Well, I managed to get all my shopping done this morning and the house has had a good clean. The weather is sunny, cold and windy so I've got loads of washing dry - just need to iron it now. It seems the east coast missed the worst of the predicted weather. I lived in Great Yarmouth for five years and still have friends there; I know they were worried.
Well, I supoose I'd better do some ironing before I put the sausage casserole on. See you all later.

Hello all,
Well, the news of the day...OH has put the curtain pole up in the bedroom and I now have curtains in there!!!! It makes such a difference. They will need tweaking/altering, but they are up for the time being. I also put the curtains up in the spare room as well - the same applies
So, I am really pleased. We also got some slabs (half price) from Focus for our path - they are actually hideous  - they looked alright in the store! But they will do for the time being and stop us churning up the grass over the winter, so despite it being a £35 mistake, its better then £100!!
Other than that, nothing is going on here. Going to pick up a radiator for next door tonight from Freecycle.
So, have a good one . I just wanted to tell everyone about my curtains really :embarrassed:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Well Hello everyone!:hello:
Its Diwali and kids in Newham get a day off. SO I took them nice and early to see SANTA!!!:j:j:santa2: (At lakeside) and only about 5 people in front of me! Cant believe we have been so early, but it always gets far to busy at weekends, so took advantage of them being off today whilst others are still at school;) They had their photo and it gets put inside a Snow Globe!! instead of a photo gettin stuck in the draw, I thought a globe would be a nice memento to get out every year:D DD also wore her !!!!!cat outfit for santa!!:rotfl:
On the way to Lakeside we passed a Ferrari!! only with Eddie Jordan driving it!!
I see thatBindeez Beadshave been re-called due to having GHD on them:eek: I've bought that for DD, but if you ring them they will send replacement beads!! Dont want her hallucinating on xmas day!!:o but if the stress gets too much for me on the day maybe I could take them!!!:rotfl:
Well yesterday I had another go at Rachel Allen's Afternoon Tea Cake - carefully reduced temp etc - testes it, dry skewer -came out lovely!! left it to cool - went back and the middle had sunk:mad::mad: dont think i will bother with that again!
Tea tonite is Trout as I'm gettin fed up of it stinking out the freezer:rotfl:

hi Molliere
Re: home made moisturizer
it's a bit of a hash as i don't follow recipies exactly. You need something like beeswax to gel it all together. It's flammable, so melt it in a bowl over a panful of hot water. I got my beeswax from Baldwins internet site but you could probably get it from a local beekeeper for next to nothing.
1 tsp beeswax
2 tbsps olive oil (can also use other oils)
6 vit E capsules (pierce shells and add oil only)
1tbsp witch hazel
1tbsp water (hot)
1/2 tsp borax
Melt beeswax and oils in a bowl over hot water. Add borax to hot water and stir until disolved. Add to oil/beeswax. Stir well. Add witch hazel. can add essential oils if you like. Stir until thick and smooth. Makes one small pot. x0 -
Evening all
Nightmare day at work, I can't get to the bottom of my in tray & everybody wants everything NOW!
I got lumbered with first aid as the proper firstaider took the afternoon off.
I had 15 call outs in 2 hours, I wouldn't mind, byt most of it is so trivial, for example one lad put his pen in his mouth & got ink on his lip, so what am I supposed to do, he's 14, old enough to know better.
I know my bloodpressure is going through the roof, but not much I can do, I know I'll feel better after DD's wedding.
Hope everyone has a good evening.
Hester

Hi!
Well I was supposed to be in w*** today but DD2 isn't very well and has spent the day lying on the couch. I'm really lucky as my Headteacher is a great boss and is very supportive when it comes to family problems, sick kids etc.
As well as looking after the LO I've kept myself busy though and I've stripped beds, done the ironing, done my school planning and made 2 pizzas and hm chunky oven chips for our tea.
I've got a few things to do over the weekend including helping to clear up the leaves from the churchyard, get my haircut, attend the Remembrance Day service and maybe even relax a bit! :rotfl:
Have a good evening!0
