Morning all,
High Peak Lass, welcome!
thriftlady, I know what you mean about after school on Friday, it's lovely isn't it!
mioliere, thanks for letting us know how amie is.
Mrs Mcawber, Well done on your weight loss.
Gingham, I hope you got a good night's sleep and have a better day today.
Ageandjo and metherer, it's good to see you both posting again.
Aussie, <<hugs>>
Hillstep, Sorry to hear about your mum, but congrats on your engagement.
Pooky, good luck wth the house move.
dlb, I hope you got the window sorted out.
An unexpected early morning here as dd set her alarm for 6am and then ignored it. She managed to waken the rest of the house though, which is a shame as ds1 has 'flu and not going to school today and ds2 is doesn't have to be in until 11.20am as it's the first 11+ day here. Good luck to anyone sitting the exam.
I had planned to go shopping this morning, but with ds1 at home that's been cancelled so not quite sure what I'll be doing today. Mr Pink is having a busy time at work at the moment and may be home until late this evening so tea will be something in the slow cooker that will keep until he gets in.
I'm covering for a colleague who is off sick tonight so I daresay we'll pass each other in the hall, but not to worry......It's almost the weekend! :j
Have a good day everyone,
Pink0 -
Good morning everyone! Went out to the pub last night - had a great time with some friends I've not seen for a while, but too many late nights are starting to catch up with me.
No OS today - off to meet a friend (yes we did say 1pm, if you're reading this :T :j MSN has crashed again  ).
Taking DD to see Stardust, while DS is at school disco.
Best wishes to everyone on the East coast.
Pooky - everything crossed for you today.
Thriftlady - bonjour
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning Everyone
DD slept through major cause for celebration. We are off to the swimming baths this morning. Then a quick trip round Morrisons only need milk and cola for dh's whiskey for the weekend.
Later on we'll be making pizza hoping to encourage dd that she wants tuna and sweetcorn on hers as I have some in the fridge that need using up.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning All
Thriftlady - I love Friday evenings also, everyone just chills
N9eav - we are in transport and the fuel increases are hitting us badly. Our clients make the most though - they have already put up prices to customers although they arent paying us anymore at the moment, we have to wait till next month before we can negotiate any possible rate increased.
Am feeling a bit better today. Didnt get to the hairdressers after all yesterday - cleaned my bathroom instead. Not much else done. Have a nice day today - office this morning then out for lunch with two of dd's friends mums - we dont see each other now the kids are at senior school. It is in a local pub which has a massive log fire - feels like we need it today.
Chicken curry for tea tonight. Am off to Belgium tomorrow via the Channel Tunnel - will be stocking up on some Xmas pressies.
Best be off now - have a great day.

Morning everyone
(((hugs))) Amie I pm'd you (but I think I used the wrong name:o so I'll re-send). Good night last night, and so late getting on here today, so just a quickie, full results of scan later as no longer in cheap rate for dial up, 8.55 am here and so no OS!!.
Just to be awful there are 3 petrol stations and a supermarket battling here, 95.9€ per litre for diesel - about 68p. Certainly will be crossing back with a full tank.
(((((hugs)))))) to all
Take care

Morning all!
I have sneaked into DS1's bedroom and am using his computer while my joints warm up, I am very impressed with the tidiness in here -his teaching course is obviously improving his organisation skills:rolleyes:
It is a bit brighter here today, yesteday was grim and windy. Thinking of all those on the East Coast or affected by rising water.
Did make it to the Boots 10% off night and got just what I needed. It seemed sensible to go for lower prices rather than higher points IFYSIM, especially as it was just odds and ends rather than present shopping.
OM took me for a meal at the China China buffet afterwards :j - all you can eat for £8.99 each, as we had tapwater to drink it cost £17.98. Actually £17.96 as he found 2p outside!
Rounded off the evening by popping into Sainsburys for milk. I sat in the car, wondering why he was so long, then he appeared with 2 carrier bags of bargains! He had 2 bags of apples for 20p, packs of ham 20p, tomatoes 20p, and half price squash :money: - and he hates yellow sticker hunting!!! I was very proud of him :A
Going to read the thread now and wear out the thanks button. Have a great OS Friday!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning all :hello:
Gingham.....Hope you feel better and don't get led astray today.
Penelope "3 fireplaces" Penguin.....Be good.
Aussie.....
Amie.....Hope you're ok.
Ageandjo....glad you got your boiler sorted. Check your settings in your user CP to reinstate your thanks and smilies etc.
Welcome HighPeaklass!!
Pink....Give DD a slap from Auntie H.and a hug for DS1... x
Hope DS2 feels better soon Pam
Well done on the weight loss Mrs M.
Spending the day in the kitchen. Managed to get lots of yellow sticker stuff last night....3 packs of green beans, 4 bags of prepped cabbage and leek, 10 donuts, 1 large single cream, 1 wholemeal loaf, ready to roast spuds in goose fat and 4 custrad tarts all for 10p each.
Am going to make loads of bubble and squeak and more cheese sauce from those and cottage pie mix, and chicken soup for the freezer.
Tea will be chorizo and mixed bean soup (making up the recie so fingers crossed.) Also going to make a start on my pickled onions. If I'm not too knackered I will try for some muffins and gingerbread men as well.
I think the blues are catching Gingham....though I'll probably be fine once I get my butt in gear.
