Only £2 a year if you choose to go to Europe. Get some perspective for goodness sakes. Other holiday destinations are available.

Of course I buy a travel insurance policy on top of the EHIC but that policy is likely to be more expensive. I can't predict it but, as many insurers now require us to use the EHIC when possible, they may charge more when it isn't valid.0
