Siphon fuel from tank
Comments
-
I filled my diesel with petrol once, so we just took the pump out of the top of the tank and syphoned out as much fuel as we could.0

As above, in some cars the fuel pump is under the back seat accessible by a removable panel.
Keep in mind petrol fumes can ignite.

OP there are laws about how much petrol you can store (and also on how it should be stored/in what type of containers) so make sure you follow those and don't inadvertently end up costing yourself more than a tank of fuel.

When I traded in the Almera she had literally a full tank. I was gutted but it sent her on her way.0

I suppose you wouldn't bend down to pick up a £2 coin either.
Siphoning 30-40 litres of petrol/diesel out of the fuel tank is a *little* bit more involved that bending down.0 -
Logic and common sense like that has no place here.0

Depending on the car, lift the bench on the back seat up and you might see a small round hatch which leads to the fuel tank. You can syphon out from there.0
