Mobiles.co - Cashback warning

I now have a cashback contract with Mobiles.co for the first time in several years. For those who don't know, they are CPW, in effect.
I am surprised and delighted that they have rejected my first cashback claim for a ludicrous and incorrect reason; looks like they're back to playing games, which they have a long history of doing. It's no problem; I won't resubmit the bill (their nonsense instruction) so have immediately responded by my rules (not theirs). I almost relish suing them again - they just never learn!
For those considering taking out a cashback contract with anyone - but particulary with CPW - be warned, be prepared and be ready to sue. It's a simple and (will be a ) cost-free process, 'cause they always lose and end up paying more if they don't concede quite quickly (which normally they do). However, if you are daunted by game-playing and hesistant to sue if needbe (or simply don't know exactly how cashback deals work AND follow the groundrules) avoid them.

What issue have you had? I submitted 5 in the last 12 months and all were accepted.0

I've claimed hundreds of times with CPW companies (and guided hundreds more for others). Now and then they like to try it on. Let's just say that this time they've invented something which will be laughed out of court - should they be foolish enough to try me. The rule is, as soon as they begin to play games - play back hard and fast. If they don't reverse their decision within a day or so it'll be the usual LBA followed by issuance (though they almost invariably cave when they realise I'm not playing by their rules). I always ensure I can't lose because I always follow the ground rules. I don't post specific details since I'm not the UK "negotiating" with the EU - where they show their hand at the start and then get stabbed in the back by their own side. Let's just say it's an invented and plainly untrue reason - easily proven (in writing as always) in court.0

Junkie: I have taken many cash back contracts with mobiles.co.uk without any problems with the cash back. You can also do it online.0
-
Er... I know. Been doing it with probably hundreds of contracts in that time.

It's fine if you don't - until you do. I've found they try it on now and then (at least when you've dealt with as many as I have). In this instance I gave them my immediate ultimatum and 2-3 days later they accepted the claim (no explanation, no apology and absolutely no justificiation). Saved me doing the LBA (just). I think they realise when someone doesn't take prisoners. Many over the years who do have lost their cashback. Thus always follow the groundrules and they can't wriggle out of it. Not worth arguing with them when they do play a game; just respond (no resubmission) with an email and insist on immediate reversal of their decision or you'll obtain proper payment using legal process. Should that not produce the desired result, the LBA usually does. If not, the court will force them to pay up and it will cost them a lot more.0 -
Junkie: if the mobiles.co.uk is so bad with you for dealing with cash back why are you still using them? Why don’t you use some other company?0
-
Simple. I always get my money even if I have to sue. I have been using a different company for the last 3-4 years but this time they had the deal I needed.0

Junkie: Other companies deal are better value for money. The mobile.co.uk is part of CPW it can offer less deal. Plus with mobiles.co.uk you can also send the cash back forms online. This is simple download the required bills from the network’s website and upload to mobiles.co.uk website under my account. This can be done easily without paying any 3rd person to look after the cash back.mobilejunkie wrote: »Simple. I always get my money even if I have to sue. Mobiles.co.is a third party; and all the dealers I use have enabled internet claims for several years. The one I've mainly used for the last 3-4 years also accepts claims withing a few minutes of submission and pays by BACS withing about 3 working days. CPW took a week to (unjustifiably) deny my claims and (when they subsequently pay) send by pidgeon weeks later (I doubt that's changed). I doubt there are many people who've done anywhere near as many cashback deals as I have over the last ten years so I think I'm in an excellent place to judge and compare.
It's also untrue that CPW can't offer such good deals. Up until a few years ago (and for many years before that) they usually blew the competition out of the water with cashback deals. But then they also go through periods (obviously that hasn't changed) when they try to wriggle out of paying.0 -

You are also mind reader and also knows other people’s business. It seem you are trying to promote yourself as a some kind of cash back king. The cash back process is very simple don’t need someone else to look after.0 -
Not a mind reader. It would have been very difficult for anyone to have done as many cashback deals asI have over the years or has enforced them when required as many times.
Tell your conculsion to all those who have lost out over the years because they listened to people who think CPW is a reputable company who won't try to stitch them up.0
