    yes to both questions

    email is the preferred option

if you have an LBC or similar from B W LEGAL, the letter should state the methods by which you can correspond with them

You should also make yourself aware of the limits to the costs that can be claimed in the Small Claims Court, both by the claimants and your company if you win.

May I suggest that you acquaint yourself with the rules of the game, (scam) into which you have been co-opted, you have asked questions, the answer to which could have been easily found by using a search engine.

Ok I have sent a SAR to KBT Cornwall as well as an email to BW Legal informing them of this and I have had replies from both.

BW Legal replied saying that they could not respond without me providing answers to various questions mainly providing them with personal details. Name, Phone numbers, Date of birth etc etc.

Bearing in mind they are only dealing with me as a business and they have no idea of who I am personally?

KBT responded saying that they require the PCN reference number or VRM in order for them to look into it? One of the questions I asked of them in the SAR was 'a list of all PCNs they consider are outstanding against me? Surely it is for them to tell me not the other way around?

The ICO say that asking for proof of ID is not unreasonable.

Name and address of keeper, PCN number, and copy of V5 should suffice.

They do not need DoB or 'phone numbers.

So, supply the required info with the SARs. Complain to the ICO if they do not provide it. Complain to the SRA if BW don't comply as well as ICO.

dont just stay in your own thread, all the others have advice in them

a copy of any V5C if registered in the company name is also proof that the person requesting the info is authorised to do so

I suspect the OP may be asked for some sort of proof that they are authorised by the company to submit a SAR on behalf of the company.

UPDATE: So I ignored BW Legals request for personal information and claiming they couldn't respond without it and low and behold they responded anyway with a letter saying that my request to put the case on hold due to my SAR request has been denied. They have said.....

' We are not of the view that the right to restrict processing is applicable in this case. Your data is processed for the lawful purposes set out in the privacy notice, a copy of which is enclosed. Whilst we acknowledge you have made a request for information with Our Client it is important to note that this does not affect the validity of Our Client's Claim meaning that Our Client has an overiding legitimate interest to recover the sums due to them.'

    ...which is their standard response.

Search BW Legal legitimate interest data to save our typing fingers!

It took a long time but finally a claim form has arrived from the CCBC. I am preparing to respond with Acknowledgement of service using the online platform.

My question is....Seen as I am acting for and on behalf of a company do I log in using the companies government gateway ID and details and do I fill out all forms using only the company details or should I use my own name and details and set up a personal login etc.

    Hope this makes sense.
