Number 37 - I do like a nice round figure so I have paid of another £106.77 making my December total £306.77. Nothing round in that, or my accounts it has left (or the destination one) but it leaves me with a nice round 000.00 on the end of this challenge for the year, and with £44k paid, the percentage paid is 110% of my target.

Well done everyone and many thanks for keeping it up to date julicorn - especially well done for your target also being exceeded for the year
    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread
    My new diary is here
  • #144 checking in belatedly. Just want to say a big thanks for this thread. Haven't checked in for 5 months or so, however this thread has kept me chipping away at the mortgage whilst I've been away from the site. So thank you.

I am not going to hit my target, but I have overpaid a chunk, and that is the main thing. Life must be lived, things will happen beyond our control, I still have no debt except the mortgage, long may it continue.
Thank you Julicorn for your outstanding contribution to moneysaving.

Will join you on next years thread too. Once we get all this holiday stuff out of the way with.

We weren't sure how this year would go but my application for voluntary redundancy was finally approved.

I got the first job I went for so we were able to overpay all of my redundancy. It's a great feeling to now be mortgage neutral.

Overpayment for the year - £30,000

Thank you all for your updates! :heart2:

Looking at the figures, I'm wondering whether we can hit a million by the end of the year? It would be quite a push, but an amazing goal nonetheless!

Under £19k to go now - i'm half tempted to make another OP :D

    We're very close indeed!
I think I might be able to make another payment in the next few days, not quite £19k though :rotfl:
If anyone made any payments they forgot to mention, now is your chance! :D
