My own mortgage spreadsheet is very messy and set up with about ten different scenarios so here's a simplified version for 2019:

You can edit everything in red and it'll spit out the interest you've saved over the course of the year.
Thanks mmmsnow for the sheet. I just had our mortgage statement through yesterday, which combined with this spreadsheet, gave me the motivation to track a prediction all the way through to Jan 2022 which should be our final payment if all goes to the OP plan! :j Good job i did .... as it made me realise if i OP to the original plan off my own dodgy spreadsheet i could have got us hit with an early repayment charge! :shocked:MFW 2019 No. 62 £10120/£10000; MFW 2018 No. 62 £3390/£2400

Hi Julicorn
Repeating everyone's thanks to you for taking up the mantle of running this challenge - it's helped me stay focused on my goals for the last few years and meant that I don't worry constantly about a never ending mortgage debt.
I'd love to come on board again and keep my number if possible for this year: #2 overpayt target £8,000
Thanks a mill

Hi julicorn
Please could I join? I am in the fortunate position that I only have £14980 left on my mortgage and would like to clear this within the next 2 years so I would like to set a target for 2019 of £4500. Any number would be great.
May I say I think this is a fantastic idea and a big thank you to you for taking the baton to continue this thread, it's very generous of you
Good luck everyone!MFW #34 2020 £1000/£40000 -

Am setting my target at £1000 for this year which is for our additional overpayments as already have some factored into our budget and repayments. This will give us an extra push and help maximise our new lower fixed rate. I wish i was more buy dh wants to 'live for the now' so we need to strike the balance and we also need to build our savings this year.
Thank you for investing the time into this challenge an I don't mind what number I am allocated.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
