Dyson, Worth It?

We don't have a dyson, and I won't spend that much as I am not vain. Dyson is IMHO just a premium vacuum cleaner and if you have the money to burn why not.
We have an Euffy, and it vacuums our lounge, hallway, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, landing and bathroom. NOTE it vacuums it on its own, we just have to carry it upstairs or open doors.
We do have a vax carpet wash vacuum and a Titan. The titan was the cheapest but it is the best, and the vax can wash carpets.
Our current house has only got carpets on stairs, rest is hardwood and tiles.

For example the Titan cleared all the rubble from our renovation, was so heavy, the dust bag. I cleared the entire loft (got it a 25m hose), it took all the old fibreglass without complaining. No fancy Dyson can ever do that or the automation of Euffy.0 -
"A younger wife...."
LOL. I like it....
Upstairs and downstairs hoover doesn't sort out the problem of hoovering the actual stairs.
One solution would be to take over the hoovering yourself.0 -
Money saving tip ..Carry it up for her
I can't do that either.Upstairs and downstairs hoover doesn't sort out the problem of hoovering the actual stairs.
correctover 73 but not over the hill.0 -
Dyson is overrated, lots of brands have now caught up and for much cheaper. Hoover (the brand) VAX, Shark etc all do good lightweight cordless vacs now.
Dyson don't make their own batteries so they are all very much the same when it comes to how long they last. It's not what they say it is though, they exaggerate how long they last by using the "Up too" phrase, you can half that in reality.0 -
My Hoover cordless is awful!Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

So if you buy a Dyson you are vain and have money to burn? Nothing at all judgemental there then!0 -

Well it's a money saving forum, I am not here to judge people.
You tell me what is the real life cleaning difference between the cheapest cylinder Dyson T £199.00 which only does dry floors
https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/home-appliances/floorcare/vacuum-cleaners/dyson-ball-multi-floor-cylinder-bagless-vacuum-cleaner-silver-10168839-pdt.html?
and this Titan £44.99 Wet and Dry cylinder vacuum
https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb350vac-1300w-16ltr-wet-dry-vacuum-cleaner-240v/36516?
Of course please don't tell me it cleans 4 times better. The reality is for most people like myself there is a saving of over £100 but the titan lacks the look and feel in a premium house.
Try doing a head to head and the only tangible difference to most money savers would be vanity0 -
I am sure your wife will be pleased with her Dyson xmas present!
I use to think that cordless cleaners were an extravagance but when my back started to go a few years ago realized they were a necessity.0
