Dyson, Worth It?

My wife is getting older and is complaining about the weight of her Vax vacuum cleaner when carrying it up the stairs.
Is it worth while getting a Dyson V10 cordless?

Be prepared that the battery only lasts 20-30 minutes on the boost setting . But they are powerful .
Don't know if it's changed design but the small head means small intake vents , which tend to clog up easily on the V6Ex forum ambassador

Very pleased with our Dyson.
Buy from John Lewis. If you and your wife are not convinced, you can return it for a no quibble refund."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

We have a V8 absolute, simply because the other half wouldn't stop complaining about hulking the cabled vacuum up the stairs; I was not in favour.
Having used it, it's pretty good. I'm not sure it was worth £280, but it's better than expected.
The paint on the neck seems to scratch off at the lightest touch, so it's looks like it's been smashed around over the last 12 months.0 -
Wouldn't part with my V8 for anything. Bought for £250 and not sure I'd pay much more, but for regular, quick whip rounds (daily dog hair!) it's brilliant.1

I recommend a Miele. German engineering, built to last, and their smaller classic models are lightweight (the Miele Classic C1 is 4.8kg). They roll behind you easily on soft rubber wheels, but they will also stand upright whilst only taking up a small footprint which is handy when vacuuming the stairs. They also come with attachments that can be stored in the front. We got one in the Black Friday sales for £99 off AO, & were really impressed.1

I wouldn't waste money like that on a vaccuum, we've got a Hetty (Pink Henry) Hoover and it does the job for much lower cost, very reliable too, had ours about 5/6 years, cost about £100.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080

We just got another one,
one upstairs and one for downstairs.
As it happens the upstairs is a DC01 they go for ever with a bit of regular maintenance.0
