If there is a second referendum ...

Time's up.
Both sides have to agree an extension to Article 50 (do you honestly believe that all 27 EU countries will quickly agree?)
What part of"European Court of Justice rules UK can unilaterally revoke Article 50"

Hard times for the hard brexit acolytes.
There's no majority for it anywhere in parliament, the ERG extremists have been put back in their box and the ECJ has just provided the necessary input for a temporary suspension of Art.50.

I would. All I am saying is REMAIN means no change but needs no explanation. I agree the EU will evolve whether we are in or out but the REMAIN vote was to influence from within and that was quite clear
We have diminished influence going forward, whatever happens.
That is quite clear.
Recent events have demonstrated that the other EU states do not believe in the UK commitment to the project.
Listen, be honest. Don't pretend to voters that Remaining is going to maintain anything. It has no guarantees. I suspect the rebate will go, and the push for Euro adoption to get much stronger.0 -
Any new referendum should have 2 clear options :-
a) fully IN
b) fully OUT
OUT means leaving single market, customs union etc.
There is no public mandate for seeking "deals" from EU.
Just because establishments did not like the LEAVE outcome, they tried to muddle the water by asking "what exactlying out means".Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -
Irrelevant if they believe it is so detrimental they should not have held it, secondly 498 of those voted to trigger article 50.
Yep. The decision to trigger A50 should not have been taken without full due diligence beforehand. They delayed A50 long enough.
Also, the election saw the major parties stand on a commitment to implement Brexit.
Those against Brexit could easily have chosen LibDem...but they obviously didn't.0 -
We can't suspend A50. This Brexit chaos has been going on long enough. It's crippling our economy. Immigrants (who we need) don't want to come here because Brexit voters in places that don't have any immigrants don't want them in the places that do. There are 3000 fewer nurses this year alone and almost 5000 European doctors are planning on leaving.
Brexit just needs to be cancelled then we can get on with absorbing the Brexiteer tantrums and getting on with life.
Yes they will make a fuss. Some of them might even want to wave placards about and bang on cars.
But if the government is clever they'll just schedule non Brexit day with signing on day, only let them somewhere without step free access and offer a 2-4-1 Pringles promotion in Tesco, and most of them won't go.0 -

Fixed it for you
No deal Brexit just needs to go ahead then we can get on with absorbing the Remoaners tantrums and getting on with life.

We can then have a 2nd referendum after 5 years seeing how UK is performing outside EU.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0
