Tesco are selling Xbox360 with 2 games and wireless controller for under £35

I guess there was some confusion with the person adding the product to their site.
The wireless entertainment pack can only be sold TOGETHER with a console. They cannot be sold seperately nor the items split for resale.

How did you pay?

I always pay bt credit card for any online transaction, and as far as i am aware Tesco dont take the money until they dispatch.

As loads of already said, they do not have to send it to you.

payed by visa card tesco said they had taken money but they shouldent have taken it until item was dispatched

yes thats exactly what they said silky, think our money is in limbo somewhere, definetly not in my bank account and tescos are still adament they they do not have it, i think that they are only saying this to give themselves time till they sort out a refund therefore they can get out of the "we took your money therefore accepted your offer" what do you think?

im lost ive phoned my bank they say tesco entertainmnt got it but tecvos say no they have not got it i have to prove they got it with bank statement

Its possible that the money was just ringfenced when the order was placed - lots of companies do this - the payment doesnt actually go through until the despatch is raised. Hence it doesnt show as a transaction on your bank statement but the amount will be in limbo until the transaction goes through or is cancelled, usually within a few days.

Tescos have already confirmed that there is no contract until despatch so nobody is going to receive an xbox for £35 - sure it would have been great if you did but realistically I bet hardly anybody that tried this expected to get one.

hi all, i also trired getting the xbox for this price but after i put my card details in it kept coming up with we cannot process your transaction at the moment (or something to that affect basically they were saying the card details were wrong) So of course i tried again and still it would not accept it and then i even tried my OH card details. Tesco were having none of it. I never got a confirmation screen email or anything to say that it went through at all and as it aslways sent me back to the shopping basket screen with the xbox in it it def didnt look like it. So when i check my balance this morning im out of pocket 2 x £34.88 or whatever it was and my partner is out on one lot of it too. How the hell is this possible as i didnt get a screen saying anything was accepted or final confirmation screen.
My bank (abbey) have said the money has not yet been accepted by tesco and should go back into my accoutn tomorrow but i have been told this on something else in the past and it has taken 3 weeks to go back. Any idea what i should do now?

I've not had a refund yet either.

You tried to place an order for something which was obviously a misprice and would obviously NEVER be honoured.

Tesco haven't taken your money, but the money is "in limbo" for a couple of days. Tesco will duly cancel your orders and the money will appear in your account again shortly.
