How do I take a screen shot?0

Just rung Tesco extra to change my delivery address on my order for the xbox 360 bundle and the guy told me that my order was being cancelled because it was misspriced on the website0

I was reliably informed that a supplier can withdraw goods from sale if mispriced but the Trade Descriptions Act means that it is an offence to mislead on price and as such they can be sued!!
Unless anyone knows different............................
I too have ordered one.0 -
How does point of sale work in this situation?0

just in the process of ordering at the mo. Website is very slowLife may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance....0

They are within their right not to sell. Business law says a contract needs an offer and an acceptance to be binding. The offer is made by the customer and the acceptance is made by the seller. In this case, Tesco hasn't accepted peoples' offers, so no contract is formed.Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0 -
to anyone currently ordering - I would probably hold off. On the other thread in grabbit there is another mser and myself who have both had the website crash and then the money is taken anyway. I dont have any confirmation and it looks like there will be calls cancelling coming soon :rolleyes:0

But surely if the money is taken then the offer has been accepted, and the contract has been made ??0
-
It's an automatic process. I'm surprised the money has gone already.
From Tescos T&C8. Limitation of Liability
At all times our acceptance of an order takes place on despatch of the order, at which point the purchase contract will be made and you will be charged for your order.
If they have already taken the money, you may have a case, I'm not sure. Other than that, until the item is dispatched, there is no binding contract.Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0 -
If I have received an order confirmation then surely that is an acceptance?0
