Had an e-mail this morning saying "order confirmation". Have had another this afternoon saying that there had been a mistake and that unfortunately they have cancelled my order, are they allowed to do this or should they honour it? Not sure as not been in this position before.If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................

They are perfectly entitle to do that, as long as they have not taken money from your account, they can cancel anytime.0 -

The order confirmation is tesco acknowledging they have recieved your order. A contract is only formed when the money is debited from your account, with online shopping this is usually when the item is ready for dispatch.
Without tesco debitting your account no contract has been made and they are within their rights to cancel your order.0
